Say hello to Truffles! Truffles is a beautiful low rider / Corgi mix, about 1.5–2 years old and 22 pounds of pure sugar. She’s happy, playful, and full of life! She enjoys playing with her dog friends here at the rescue and would thrive in an active home where she can go on walks, hikes, or runs.

Truffles would blend well in just about any family setting with dogs or children. Truffles is from a hoarding case but she doesn't show any signs of abuse or neglect and is a resilient little girl. She’d make a fantastic companion for a family ready to give her the activity and affection she craves. Truffles is Heartworm and Chagas negative. Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip

Story
Twix — The Loyal Low‑Rider With a Big Heart and Big Feelings's Story Twix was impounded at the Weslaco shelter, and has been winning people over from the moment he arrived. He’s a classic “instant‑bond” dog—the type who chooses his person quickly and loves them deeply. Once you’re his person, you truly have a friend for life. Twix is a charming low‑rider with a sweet, affectionate nature, but he does come with one important quirk: he can become possessive of his favorite human when other dogs are in the home. He isn’t aggressive—just overly devoted—and he needs an owner who can set clear boundaries, provide structure, and guide him with consistent training so he learns that sharing his person is okay. He’s smart, eager to please, and incredibly connected once he trusts you. With the right leadership, Twix will thrive as the loyal, loving companion he’s meant to be. Twix is located in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Dublin, OH on April 25th. He is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped and his adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost. Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Atom to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 3-month-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mixed puppy. Mom is Chihuahua and dad is a Dachshund. Atom is small and weighs about 5 pounds now. He fits easily in your hands. He has droopy ears and a wrinkly forehead and some big, beautiful eyes that will be hard to resist. He has a straight and a longer body. He should be 15 pounds or less full grown. He will be a small dog. Both parents were under 12 pounds. He would be best in a home where the person doesn’t work all day every day. A house with less stairs is best as well. He needs to be with his human, to be able to go places and to finish up his puppy training. He will go potty on a wee pad. He is playful and the puppies all like toys. He is the middle size in his litter. He is getting his puppy vaccines, dewormed and will be ready for neuter when he is a few weeks older or heavier. They need to weigh 5 pounds to be neutered. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to his small size. He could be adopted locally in Texas, where she is in the Rescue or we could work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. Those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 50 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta was treated for heartworms and is currently being treated for Chagas disease. Don't let that worry you.... she is doing great and strong as a bull. She is doing great on treatment! She gets along best with male dogs but can coexisit with male or female if its the right dog. Delta is located in Hondo, Texas and is available for transport to Dublin, OH on April 25th. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.
