I’m Mario â¤ï¸ I may be a little guy, but I’ve got a big heart, lots of love to give, and I’m very ready for my happily ever after. I came to rescue from a crowded shelter where I was running out of time, but thankfully I got my second chance — and now I’m hoping my forever family is next! I’m a super friendly boy who loves meeting people. New friends? Amazing. Familiar faces? Even better! I’m always happy to see you and usually come with a wagging tail and cheerful little smile. I really just enjoy being part of the fun and close to my people. I also get along with other dogs and currently share my kennel area with two other male dogs. I do especially well with female dogs, though, because I can sometimes get a little bossy with other boys. What can I say? I like to think I’m in charge sometimes. But overall, I’m still a very good boy and do just fine with proper introductions and respectful dog friends. I’m not sure how I do with cats or young kids yet, but I’ve shown everyone here what a sweet, happy companion I can be. I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m all set and ready to start my next adventure with a family of my own. All I need now is someone to love me forever. Rock came to us from a partnered shelter where he was sadly at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space—but thankfully, he got the chance he deserved. Born around June 13, 2025, Rock is a terrier/dachshund mix with an adorable long body and a soft, submissive personality. He’s a friendly, easygoing pup who gets along with everyone he meets, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Rock would truly love a family of his own where he can feel safe and loved. Rock did test positive for anaplasmosis (a tick-borne infection) and is currently undergoing treatment with doxycycline. This is a common and treatable condition, and he’s expected to do well with proper care. Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Arty to CCPAL Rescue. Arty is a 2 year old Dashchund/Parsons Jack Russel is our best guess using AI technology. He weighs 25 pounds. This boy is very sweet. He is calm, good with other dogs, relatively quiet and not too vocal. This description doesn’t fit with the breeds mentioned but this is his behavior. He is good with other dogs and very laid back. He has a coarse coat, and it isn’t too much of a shedding dog. He is sturdy enough to be a good walking companion. He would be fine in a smaller yard like a condo yard and would be ok with a moderately active family. He is a gem and he loves humans, despite his previous experience with them. He is kenneled with another small dog that came from the same place and he does well. He will be neutered soon and looking for his forever home. Welcome Paco to CCPAL Rescue. Paco is a 10-week-old Dachshund mix. We think with Chihuahua. These puppies are small at about 5 pounds right now. We think they will be 15 or less full grown. They are good in a playgroup with their siblings. They are getting used to being kenneled and are fine in a car. Once they bond they bond to a single person and while they can love others in the family, it will be clear who is their person. They are in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. Paco can go with children. We like all children to be 8 or older. They were found as strays and pulled from one of the local high kill shelters. Paco would be best in a home where the person doesn’t work all day everyday. A puppy needs time to spend being with her humans and they need to be socialized with other people regularly so they become well rounded adult dogs. Dachshund dogs do best in a home with less steps or levels in the home. We would love someone that loves this breed. I love this breed so I know there are those that feel the same about this loyal and loving breed. They can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Delta...Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. Those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 50 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her play. Delta was treated for heart worms and is currently being treated for Chagas disease. Don't let that worry you.... she is doing great and strong as a bull. She is doing great on treatment! She gets along best with male dogs but can co-exisit with male or female if its the right dog. Delta is located at our shelter near San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to Chelsea, MI on June 20th with approved application and confirmed adoption. Her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes transport cost.   Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heart worm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heart-worm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular De-worming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip   Breed listings are our best guess, based on appearance.
