Looking for a home! Hi we're looking for a home for sweet Lucy. She's a mixed medium size female dog, approximately 2 years old, spade, rabbies up-to date. She's really sweet and caring, this velcro-dog, sleeps a lot and rarely barks. She's well trained for indoors, but loves to play outside. Lucy loves cats and other small dogs, kids and any human that wants to pet her. If you or someone you may know could be the forever home for this lovely angel please send me an inbox.

Story
Howdy y’all! I’m Raz––a handsome, sensitive soul looking for a fresh start after my previous owner sadly passed away. I’m a loyal and independent guy searching for a quiet, low-key environment. Recently, I’ve been loving my training boot camp at Lone Star State K9, learning how to be a polite pup and stay in my crate. I may be a cowboy, but that doesn’t mean my manners can’t be top-tier! Despite still being a puppy, I’ve been told I’m kind of an old soul… so I’d prefer hanging out in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy kids who respect boundaries; I love to be around my people, but I also just like my personal space sometimes! When it comes to other pets, I’ve got kind of a lone wolf attitude, and personally, I’d love to be your loyal one-and-only. My feelings have been hurt by other dogs before, but I’ve been doing a great job at camp learning how to dust off my boots and handle it. That doesn’t all mean this cowboy can’t get rodeo-rowdy. I love a good “bug tussle” with my person. If you’re looking for a total roly-poly, I’m your guy! I’m ready to retire from the range and be your loyal canine companion. Apply to adopt me today!

Story
Slim Jim is a 6–7-year-old, 17lb, Dachshund who has a larger-than-life personality. He may be paralyzed (fracture in his thoracic spine, assumed he was hit by a car), but that does not stop him one bit. He loves to play with other dogs and toys; he is also very cuddly with his humans. He is very determined and likes to be independent when he can, but he has some serious FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and thrives with being in everyone’s business. If you google “Dachshund personality”, you will see a description of Slim. He is loyal, affectionate, playful, and brave. He is also bossy, loud, mischievous, and bold. He can be hesitant with accepting new people, but he will accept the friendship if treats are offered. He is not a big fan of being held unless he knows the person (if he knows you, you can handle him however needed without issue), and he can be a bit naughty if he is passed over to someone that he does not know (primarily occurs in a veterinary visit setting). Given his Dachshund genetics and injury, this is understandable and easy to manage with treats, reassurance, and if all else fails, throw a blanket over his head. He does wear a male wrap throughout the day/night to keep him clean. He can poop and pee on his own, but his bladder and bowels are also expressed 4 times per day to ensure his bladder is fully emptied and prevent any poop accidents. Don’t worry, he is very easy to express and well behaved during the ordeal. He has been with his foster mom since the beginning of April and fit in with the dogs and cat immediately. He has met multiple other foster dogs while here and loves to introduce himself and insists on a game of some sort of play right away. He has assigned himself the job of designated greeter and is very devoted to this position. If you love the breed, you will love Slim and he will always have you smiling and laughing. He just needs a little extra care due to his injury.
