Story
She is a calm and sweet dog most of the time. She has a curious and playful personality, but she can also be a bit mischievous. She tends to chase cats, may chew or break things if left alone, and sometimes tries to run away, so she needs supervision and a secure space. With proper training and attention, she has the potential to be a very loving and loyal companion.”

Story
He is a shy and gentle dog who has spent most of his life living under a house, so he is still learning to trust people. He tends to be fearful and will hide when approached, and he is not used to being handled or playing yet. Because of this, he will need a very patient and understanding adopter who can give him time, space, and consistency to feel safe. With kindness and slow socialization, he has the potential to come out of his shell and become a loyal companion.”

Story
Coco is a 4 year old dachshund mix. She will remain a smaller dog and never more than 25lbs. She loves tennis balls, jogging, and cuddles. She would be great in a single-pet household, or with dogs bigger than her. We originally got her as a companion for our smaller dog who is a year older, but unfortunately they do not get along. She is very energetic and full of love to give, and is also very loyal to you. She is potty trained, both outside and inside via puppy pads, and understands simple commands (sit, down, stay, gives paw for treat).

Story
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? None—because she’ll willingly give you her love! Tootsie came all the way from Uvalde, Texas, after being owner-surrendered with her sister and four puppies. Now in foster care, she has left the single mom life behind, and she's ready to live it up as an empty nester! According to her foster mom, Tootsie is very sweet and truly just wants someone to follow around and cuddle up with! She can be reserved at first, but after giving her time to decompress and sniff around, she becomes a velcro dog. Tootsie occasionally does this thing where she jumps into your palm when you go to pet her, and if you’re going to pet the side of her face, she puts her whole weight into it! It feels like she’s going to body slam herself (but she doesn’t), and it’s very cute and lovable. She also loves sunbathing or being able to sit outside in the shade. :) This girl likes other gentle-natured pets that respect her boundaries and her need for space. She was attached to her foster mom at the hip within an hour of being at her head, and didn't snap once. By going slow and allowing her to get used to new things on her terms (and lots of affection once she allows it), she'll be nothing but a cuddly dog who feels secure with her new home and the people in it! Apply to meet Tootsie today! Watch my video!

Story
Meet Stevie – Your New Little Shadow 💕 Stevie is a 3-year-old Chiweenie with a heart as big as her adorable ears! This 12-pound sweetheart was found as a stray, but despite her rough start, she proved to be the most devoted mama. Stevie lovingly raised six healthy puppies and took amazing care of each one. Now that her babies are growing up, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled. Stevie is the definition of a lap dog. Her favorite place in the world is curled up next to her person, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She has the sweetest, gentle personality and will happily follow you around the house just to be near you. She gets along well with other dogs and would do great in a home with canine friends or as your one-and-only cuddle companion. At about 12 pounds, she’s the perfect little size for couch snuggles, movie nights, and tagging along on daily adventures. Stevie is located in Texas. Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, spay and heartworm test. If you are interested in adopting Stevie please complete the adoption application at the link below. If you have any questions email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com.
