Chamoy came to us in 2019 from the shelter. She was a street dog we suspect, and VERY skittish. She's very sweet, a people-pleaser (if a dog can be one). The behavioral issues we have been noticing is that even though she is house-trained, she has begun using the bathroom everywhere in the house. No defecating, just urinating. This has been going on for over a year and we haven't been able to get it to stop. It's only when she's unsupervised. She's been checked out by a vet, it's not a UTI. Our lives have gotten so hectic and with the death of her friend Rocko she's been lonely. We just don't have the time anymore to dedicate to helping her retrain. We don't want to surrender to a shelter, none of our family or friends can take on another pet at the moment either. We're going to try this out. She's again a very sweet dog, loves to kiss and cuddle, very needy for attention. She looks part dachshund and we're guessing beagle but that may not be true. I'm very anxious to post this online.

Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
