Story
Meet Vida Boheme! Just like her namesake, this queen brings beauty, charm, warmth, and pure love everywhere she goes. Vida is a nearly 16-year-old, 20-lb Dachshund mix with a gentle spirit, a snowy white face, and a devotion to her people that would make Miss Vida herself proud. This Vida’s ideal day includes naps, snacks, couch cuddles, and following her humans from room to room like the loyal little shadow she is. She’s fully house trained, walks politely on leash, and has low energy, grooming, and exercise needs. She doesn’t love the crate, but she’ll settle if she must—though she’d much rather be tucked in beside you for bedtime snuggles. She gets along ok with dogs and cats, but she has a little bit of resource guarding tendencies and may lunge, snap and bark at another dog when they get too close to her treats or her space if she isn't feeling cuddly. Because she whines or barks for a bit when left alone or separated, she’ll do best in a home without shared walls. What she wants most is what her namesake taught us all to give: love, kindness, and a place where she can simply belong.Vida is is in the low level range of Cushing’s Disease. She has started medication for it and her adopter will need to monitor symptoms and stay on top of vet care. Her medication costs about $45–55 monthly. She also has a sensitive digestive system and needs to be on specialty food, and needs to go to the bathroom fairly often.Vida’s most special trait is the way she looks at her people—with the same softness, loyalty, and heart that made Vida Boheme unforgettable on screen. She’s a tender, affectionate soul who just wants to love and be loved. She also loves giving kisses If you’re ready to welcome a gentle, devoted senior queen into your home, Vida Boheme is waiting to grace your life with sweetness and style. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I'm Angelina Ballerina, I’m 6 months young and while I may be a Chihuahua mix, I'm pretty sure I was actually meant to be a tiny human because my favorite place is wherever you are. Whether it's your lap, your feet, or following you from room to room, I just want to be with my people. I’m only 8 pounds and I hear I’ll be around 15 pounds when I’m grown up! I live with three foster dog siblings, and they're nice and all... but if I had to choose between hanging out with dogs or my people, I'm picking my humans every single time. I'm an old soul trapped in a puppy body. Instead of bouncing off the walls, I'm happiest curling up next to you for a cozy nap. Plus, I’m checking off all the puppy boxes already: I’m crate trained, pretty much mastered potty training, and love car rides!  I'm as gentle and loving as they come, and all I want is a family to love me as much as I'll love them. The only thing I'm still working on is my confidence. New people can make me a little nervous, so I'll need a patient family who will cheer me on and help me learn that the world isn't such a scary place. With a little encouragement, I know I'll continue to blossom into the confident little girl I'm meant to be. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will adore you with her whole heart, I think we might just be the perfect match. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Breadstick and I’m an 11 pound, 1 year old Chiweenie mix looking for my forever family!  I’ll be honest with you, I can be a little shy when meeting new people. New humans can be scary, and I like to take my time getting to know you. But once I decide you’re my person, I love with my whole heart Personal space? Never heard of it! Going to the bathroom? Don’t worry, I’m your pee buddy. Taking a shower? Expect to see my little head peek around the curtain just to make sure you’re still there. Cleaning the house? I’m your cleaning supervisor. Wherever you go, I go. My favorite thing in the world is simply being with my human, and I take my job as your tiny shadow very seriously I get along great with other dogs, big or small, and I would absolutely love to have another dog sibling in my forever home to play with and help show me the ropes. I do great with cats too!  And if adventures are your thing, I’m an amazing car rider and always ready for the next trip I’m fully potty trained and do great in my crate once I’m in there… but convincing me to go in might require some negotiation skills and a good treat or two.  My foster mom calls me her little ferret because I have a very important hobby: collecting random treasures and hiding them in tiny places. Missing a sock? Check behind the toilet. Can’t find the remote? Maybe look behind the washer and dryer. I like to keep life interesting! If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, professional shadow, and tiny companion with a huge heart, I might just be your perfect Breadstick. apply to meet me https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2026, 2:52 pm
