Story
Meet Hope!
Nickname: Miss Peace, Hope and Joy
Fun Fact: I love stroller rides! I can sniff the air, walk with the pack, and not worry about getting tangled in the others because I can't see where they are going.
Rescue: Albert's Dog Lounge
Age: Golden Oldie
Weight: 16 lbs
Health issues: Double enucleation (both eyes have been removed, but she doesn't care). rear luxating patella, slight arthritis, grade 2/6 heart murmur
History: Hope's elderly owner passed away and the shelter let us know that she would thrive in a foster setting
Foster home: Delavan, WI
Activity level: Low. She is an avowed couch potato
Friendly with: Adults, respectful older children (12 and up, please!), and other respectful dogs. She can't see, so she would do well with dog that would be careful of her and not just bowl her over. Cats are an unknown.
Sleep style: She loves to sleep in her various beds, and we'll flip them over and double them over to be comfortable. She sleeps through the night and is a very quiet girl
Meals: Grandma Lucy's dehydrated for morning and frozen raw for dinners
Bark-o-meter: 1/10
Shedding meter: 1/10
Fashion: an itsy bitsy, teeny weenie yellow polka dog bikini (IYKYK!) or anything that makes me look like the princess that I am!
Walk out song: “I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash
"I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been prayin' for
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-shiny day"
Favorite season: Give Miss Hope the summer sun on her face and a soft breeze through her fur and she meanders through the yard, sniffing all the sniffs.
Personality: Resilient, calm, loving, cuddly, sweet, zen
Best feature: Her sweet as pie personality
Signature Move: napping on laps
Love Language: cuddles and smelling the world
Loves: being with you, other small, respectful dogs, and soft, squishy beds
Bucket list: playing "princess and the pea" with alllll the fluffy dog beds. Because she is definitely a princess, and fluffy beds are the best!
Hope has done a miraculous job on navigating a new house, she gets along with everyone and is just a real sweet girl. She will make someone a really great dog she just wants a warm lap to cuddle up in and is a very quiet loving dog. .

Housebroken
Good on leash, but he likes to meander and assumes you want to follow.
Has not been in a kennel in her current foster home
