He can from Louisiana with me when I moved but my schedule has only gotten busier since moving here and I can no longer give him the attention he deserves and needs. He loves to just hang out around the house with u and really is so sweet I hope this will help him find a better home!!

Story
Meet Wally: A Handsome Lovebug Looking for a Forever Home! At approximately 1 year old and 55lbs, Wally is a lovely Dalmatian/Australian cattle dog mix who came into the shelter as a stray in September 2026. In playgroups, he was gentle and tolerant with other dogs, mingling comfortably and enjoying occasional bouts of play. He was initially a little wary of handlers, but became more comfortable with time. Wally is still getting to know the world around him, and his sweet, easygoing personality has really begun to shine in foster care. His foster family can't say enough about what a sweetheart he is. He loves pets, cuddles, and belly rubs, and he's almost always wagging his tail. He's fantastic on leash, walking right by your side with a loose leash, and he's quiet in his crate both overnight and when left home alone. He's also fully potty trained and has shown no signs of resource guarding. Wally has a low-to-medium energy level, enjoys spending time with other dogs, and is even comfortable hanging out at a coffee shop or cafe. He's a little cautious when meeting new people, but warms up quickly once he feels safe. Wally could be a wonderful companion for someone looking for an affectionate, well-mannered dog who enjoys both leisurely outings and cozy time at home. He may do well with another friendly dog or as a solo companion with plenty of love and attention. Wally can be skittish around fast movements, so a calm home without young children would likely be the best fit. He hasn't been cat-tested, though his relaxed demeanor makes cat compatibility a possibility with careful introductions. Wally is prone to carsickness, so he'll need a little patience and support as he works on feeling more comfortable in the car. PONGO is a lovely 12 month old Dalmatian with lots of energy. He is a strong boy, so is best to walk on a no-pull harness. He may have a little bit of Greyhound in him, given his larger size, as he is 62 pounds. PONGO is very intelligent, protective, is a love bug, has a huge heart, listens to commands, and is cuddly, playful, loyal, and ready to bond. He is house trained and comfortable in a crate for short periods. He is protective and careful, and may bark at new people, but then he wants to be friends. Pongo is dog friendly (as you can see in the photo with his two Dalmatian friends), but needs a few slow introductions before friendship is established. Like some Dalmatians, he can be a little nippy/reactive (no biting at all) when suddenly startled or scared by something. PONGO is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and current on flea/tick/worm medications. As a young Dalmatian, he would thrive with a family who understands the breed and can provide plenty of exercise, attention, training, and love. Unfortunately, due to my husband’s ongoing health complications and the changes our family has had to make, we’ve come to the difficult decision to rehome Knox. With everything our family is navigating medically, we are no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. This decision has not been easy, and our priority is finding Knox a safe, stable, and loving home where he can thrive. We would love for him to go to someone familiar with Dalmatians or active breeds who understands the commitment they require. We are not looking to rush this process.
