Story
Victoria is a beautiful one-year-old Dalmatian with a gentle soul and a heart full of untapped love. She’s searching for a forever home that understands that trust takes time and that patience can change everything. Victoria is a shy, fearful girl who needs a calm, kind environment to truly shine. Soft voices, slow movements, and consistent love help her feel safe, and once she does, her walls begin to come down. When she trusts you, her bond is incredibly special. You can see her curiosity peek through, her tail start to wag a little more, and her personality slowly bloom. She would do best in a quieter home with a securely fenced yard where she can feel protected and learn to enjoy the world at her own pace. Victoria can be an only dog or live with another calm, friendly pup, as long as introductions are slow and respectful. This sweet girl has so much potential and so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and walk beside her as she continues to blossom. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances, gentle growth, and the magic of earning a dog’s trust, Victoria might be your perfect match. ##2546418##

EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Capable FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Loves Everyone PLAYFULNESS: Semi-Pro FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Social LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes Meet Seymour: The Professional Cuddle Expert Age: 2 Year Old Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix If you are looking for the most calm, loving, and well-adjusted dog in the building, look no further than Seymour. While his name is a play on his partial vision, the truth is that Seymour "sees" more with his heart than most dogs. After a year in our care, he has become the staff favorite for his gentle soul and his absolute dedication to the art of the lounge. Seymour came to us as a puppy in November 2024, and has been looking for the right people ever since. His sweet and gentle, cuddly personality made him a staff favorite and we cannot figure out how or why he is still here! Everyone who has ever taking him out on a Doggy Date or kept him for a Sleepover have amazing things to say about how well he behaves outside of the shelter, but he just has not found the right fit yet. Why Seymour is the Perfect Companion? 1. He believes snuggling is his full-time job. If you’re on the couch, he wants to be right there with you. 2.He's a social butterfly and truly loves every human he meets and gets along famously with other dogs. 3.He accepts treats and food with the utmost politeness. 4. Unlike some pups, Seymour is a dream in the car and loves going for rides to see the world. 5. Though he has some vision impairment, his "internal GPS" is top-notch. He navigates most environments with impressive ease. Life With Seymour: Because Seymour is deaf, he relies on his other senses—especially his sense of connection to his people. He thrives on companionship and can sometimes be a bit vocal when he realizes his favorite humans aren't in the room. He isn't being "loud"; he’s just calling out for a little reassurance that you're still nearby! Training & Tools Seymour is a fast learner! Because he can see shapes and movement, he has excelled with hand signals and sign language. We have had great success using Acorns DEAFinitely Awesome Dictionary of Signs, which makes communicating with him fun and easy. There are also vibration collars that can be used to assist training for dogs that are hearing impaired. All of these tools are available online! Seymour is a living testament to the fact that a "special needs" dog is really just a "special" dog who has so much more love to give. Are you ready to be the person this handsome boy has been waiting a year for? Come meet our favorite professional lounger today!

Story
EXERCISE NEEDS: Daily Workout EASE OF TRAINING: Eager FRIENDLINESS WITH PEOPLE: Bashful PLAYFULNESS: Amateur FRIENDLINESS WITH DOGS: Social LEASH MANNERS: Pulls Sometimes Meet Legend, a 3-year-old mixed breed with a heart of gold and a playful spirit. Originally adopted as a puppy in April 2022, Legend was returned in February 2025 due to a housing change, and he’s now looking for his forever home. Though he’s a little shy when you first meet him, once Legend opens up, he’s the sweetest, most affectionate companion you could ask for. With his playful nature and gentle personality, he’s ready to find a family who will give him the time and love he needs to truly shine. He is a dog who knows his own mind. Unlike some dogs that can be 'won over' with time and treats, his discomfort with certain people is relatively fixed. He needs a family that won't pressure him to interact with strangers or force him into social situations where he is showing anxiety and cause him stress. What He Loves: Playtime: Legend is full of energy and absolutely loves to play! Whether it’s fetching a ball, playing with toys, or just running around, he’s always up for some fun. Affection: Once Legend feels comfortable with you, he’s a total cuddle bug. He loves to snuggle and will happily shower you with love and attention. Exploration: Legend is curious and enjoys new experiences, especially when it means he gets to spend time with his favorite people. What He Needs: Legend is seeking a calm, loving environment where he can feel safe and comfortable as he continues to grow into the confident, playful dog he’s meant to be. Looking For: A loving family who will give Legend the space to settle in and the time to build trust. He’s looking for a home where he can enjoy plenty of playtime, curl up in a warm, fluffy bed, receive and give endless affection, and companionship as he blossoms into the wonderful dog he is.
