Story
Duluth is a 7 month old Australian Kelpie/Terrier Mix who appreciates downtime time on the couch just as much as she enjoys spending time outside, soaking in the environment and sun. Her superpowers include loving you unconditionally, being fully house trained, getting along great with other dogs and people, and kissing you on the nose before you go to bed. She is still unsure about having too many people in the house, but loves and trusts people once she gets to know them. In terms of house training, Duluth is housetrained and goes to the bathroom outside. Just make sure to walk her around every 5 hours! Some of her favorite things are chew toys, respecting her personal time in the dog bed, belly rubs, cheese and sitting with her while she lays on the couch. If you're looking for a protective, intelligent cuddler, who is patient and values you and your attention, she might be your perfect match! Duluth is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Her adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
My name is Buster, I am a 3.5 year old 60lb purebred Dalmatian. I am a charming goofy guy with a lot of energy and need a home where I have plenty of room outside to get my zoomies out. I get along well with other dogs and share my food and toys freely but need an experienced dog owner that is able to manage my high prey drive. I have lived in the same household my whole life but living with the constant stimulation of the city is no longer a good fit for me. I don’t like living in an apartment building since I was attacked by a neighbor dog and developed anxiety in the stairwell. My mom and I have worked with a dog trainer and a behaviorist to help me learn to settle and manage my anxiety but my mom can no longer manage me on walks due to multiple surgeries on her hand. Likes: playing, running on my treadmill, other dogs, my crate, car rides, puzzles, snuggles, making blanket forts Dislikes: CATS! Can’t live with small animals other than dogs due to high prey drive

Story
Extremely happy, super sweet, loving 14 month old Liver Dalmatian. He would do best with an owner with a yard, prior Dalmatian experience is preferred but not necessary if you’ve done your due diligence with research. This breed is active and loves long walks or runs. He gets along well with cats, dogs, and kids! My daughter is just severely allergic to him, he’s a wonderful dog!

Story
Introducing May, a resilient and courageous dog who has overcome great adversity in her life. For several months, May found herself wandering the streets, facing the challenges of survival on her own. During this time, she endured a prolapsed vagina, a painful condition that required urgent medical attention. Though people in the neighborhood attempted to help her, her fear and mistrust kept her at a distance. Fortunately, fate intervened when one of our compassionate fosters caught sight of May and recognized the urgency of her situation. With a clever plan involving fries as bait, May was coaxed close enough to be safely captured. Immediately, she was taken to the veterinary clinic, where she underwent surgery to repair her injury. May is now ready for a new chapter in her life, filled with endless love, security, and happiness. If you're searching for a quiet and affectionate canine companion who will steal your heart with a single smile, look no further than May. Come and meet her, and witness the incredible transformation she has undergone. May is waiting with open paws to bring joy and warmth into your life. If May May sounds like she might be the right match for you, or if you want to check out more of our wonderful pets for adoption, please visit ffpets.org to read all about our TN-based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit your application The adoption fee is $300 and transport is an additional $200 This pet is currently in a foster home in TN and will be transported north after the adoption is complete.
