Story
Meet Perdita, a 6 year old Dalmation! She weighs around 85lbs and loves to give kisses and be next to her person as much as possible! Perdita is extremely affectionate and is the happiest being with her person. She lives for cuddles and soft biscuits. Perdita does fine in a crate, she's house trained, and knows how to sit. She walks well on a leash. Occasionally she has some issues with pulling but is easily redirected. If you're looking for the sweetest girl, who just wants to love and be loved on, Perdita is the girl for you! She is currently being fostered in Ewing, NJ and her adoption fee is $600. To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hello, Lady is a pure bred Dalmatian. She is a lovable, energetic and cuddly dog. She is about a year and a half old. After a divorce and working long hours and change of home and exhausting our options. We are in an apartment where they do not except dogs. She does not do well with kids as she does have a bit history with our child. However, again she is very protective and lovable and playful.

Story
Meet Tess. This beautiful girl is about 2 yrs old and a Dalmatian/hound mix. She is about 50 lbs, spayed, up to date on shots, and house trained. Tess has been in foster for about 2 months now. Last week Tess began board and training with no other than Behavior Plus. Tess was a little rough in beginning, but since has become a fast favorite at board and training. Tess has some resource guarding over her crate, beds, and couches. But overall loves to be with you. Trainers feel she is nervous and unfortunately does not know how to deal with that. She is getting better but still has moments. As for now, no couches, no in her crate, and no human beds. Tess needs a active family that will give her the exercise she needs. She is a working dog and loves to have a job to do. She loves mind puzzles and mental exercise. As well as physical exercise like walks and runs. She loves to play catch and will bring her bowl to you when she wants water. She is a smart pup and eager to learn. Overall Tess is great knows sit, stay, paw, and leave it. She waits as you put her food down and will not eat until you walk away from bowl. Recommended for homes with children over the age of 15 years old and experience owners only!!! If you are interested in adopting please apply at www.pawsitivelyfurever.org

Story
Lucky hasn't been that lucky, until now. His owner struggled with drug problems and abandoned him. The neighbors have taken great care of him in his owners absence. He is a super friendly, loving and affectionate dog who loves to go for walks and rides. He even took himself on a walk one day and ended up at the bottom of an old well. Thankfully people noticed he was missing and after a few days he was rescued by a team of wonderful people. He was the neighborhood dog basically but he really wants a family of his own that will love him forever and let him snuggle on the couch with them. He is ok with other dogs but prefers if they are smaller than him so they don't intimidate him. But he would be great as the only dog too. He is best friends with Lucy (who he used to live with) and they get along great. He is about 18 months old and about 60 pounds. He will make a great addition to a fun family. If you are interested in adopting Lucky please visit funnyfarmrescueranch.org where you can find the link to submit the adoption application and also read all about our TN based rescue and how the entire and adoption and transport process works. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. This pet is currently in a foster home in TN and will be transported north after the adoption is complete. To see the meeting locations, please click on the transport tab at ffpets.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jack M and his family come to rescue from Texas. He is a pup to Bailey, and is thought to be a Heeler/Pointer mix. He was born in June 2018. Jack M did have an unfortunate incident during birth - his toes were torn off--but that doesn't bother Jack M from being fully mobile as he loves to race around with his foster siblings! He is a sweet and playful boy! Jack M is fearful of new people, dogs and situations and needs a lot of space as he doesn't like to feel closed in.  It takes him some time to adjust and warm up to new things in his life.  For that reason, a quiet, adult only home away from the hustle and bustle of a city is best for Jack M.  If you are that special someone who can open their heart to Jack M and continue to work with him on realizing that the world and people can be good, please apply online to adopt Jack M at http://www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org     RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.   Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 3, 2023, 8:41 pm

Story
Papaya has a short coat of white with tan/orange blotches. She is cute floppy tan/orange ears and very expressive eyes. Papaya is a very intelligent girl. She is sweet girl with a high energy level. She likes sitting with her humans and going on long walks. Papaya has many skills including come, sit and stay. She loves to practice and is eager to please. She adores going on outdoor adventures and her leash manners are great! Papaya also does well riding in a car. Due to Papaya's high energy level it would be best if she were in a home with other children. She tends to be dog selective when being first introduced. Because of this it will be best to slowly introduce other dogs to her. Papaya is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. ##1499373##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Daisy (GA) is a female possibly Pointer blend who was estimated by our veterinary partner to be 3-4 months old at the time of intake in March 2023. Daisy is good with people and other dogs, has been spayed and microchipped, and is up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate).  We found this little sweetie in a kill shelter with several old and new very nasty wounds. We don't know what happened to Daisy that caused these wounds, but we are showering her with love to help her forget that life.  Daisy's left hind leg was wounded beyond repair and required amputation. She has received all the medical care she required and she is now ready to bloom and grow in her forever home.  Daisy is a friendly, happy, sweet, 3-legged girl whose eyes scream "Pick me, Pick me!" If you would like to pick Daisy and have her grow up as a member of your family, please apply online to adopt Daisy (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 3, 2023, 8:41 pm
