Story
Meet Oreo – A Loving Dalmatian Looking for Her Forever Family    Name: Oreo Age: 2 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Dalmatian Weight: 19 kg (42 lbs) Height: 55 cm (22 in)   Rescue Story   Oreo was brought to a municipal shelter with numerous wounds covering her body, and sadly, part of her tail had become necrotic due to untreated injuries. Despite everything she has been through, she has never lost her love for people and continues to greet the world with an incredibly happy heart.    Personality with People   If you’re looking for a dog who absolutely adores people, Oreo is your girl.   She loves everyone—family, friends, and complete strangers alike. She happily walks up to new people, leans against them for affection, squeezes between their legs for cuddles, and often asks to be hugged even during a first meeting. She loves both men and women and is so trusting that she’ll happily roll over to show her belly to someone she’s just met.   She can easily be picked up by placing an arm under her belly and is always eager to receive love and attention.    Dog Social Skills   Oreo is extremely social with other dogs and is always excited to make new friends. She eagerly approaches unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play.   The only catch? She doesn’t always realize when another dog isn’t interested!   Smaller dogs, in particular, sometimes find her enthusiasm overwhelming, but Oreo simply keeps trying to convince them to join the fun. If another dog won’t play with her, she’ll often bark as if saying, “Come on, let’s play!”   She has no aggression toward other dogs and tends to avoid conflict even if another dog challenges her. She generally gets along best with dogs of similar size who enjoy active play, and she especially loves energetic playmates who are happy to wrestle and run around together.    Cats   When Oreo sees cats during walks, she watches them out of curiosity but follows her handler without issue when redirected.    Energy Level   Oreo has a moderate energy level, but as a Dalmatian, she’ll thrive with an active family that can provide regular exercise and mental enrichment.   She enjoys walks, running, and outdoor adventures, but once she’s had enough activity, she settles down nicely indoors and enjoys long naps.   Oreo is genetically deaf, which is not uncommon in Dalmatians. She has adapted well to her condition and lives a happy, confident life. In fact, because she can’t hear surrounding noises, she’s quite a sound sleeper!   Her future family should be willing to communicate through visual cues, hand signals, and consistent routines.    Walking   Oreo is an experienced walker who generally stays with her handler without excessive pulling. She may occasionally pull toward something that catches her interest, but she remains manageable and responsive.   She also loves to run and would enjoy an active lifestyle.    Additional Information   Very food motivated but does not guard food from people or other dogs. Vocal when she wants to play with other dogs that won’t include her. May bark to ask for attention when she wants to reach people but is blocked by a door or barrier. Rides quietly in a kennel, although she may bark if she sees people and wants to come out. Currently potty trained for outdoor elimination.   Oreo’s joyful personality is truly infectious. She has an enormous heart, loves everyone she meets, and simply wants to be included in whatever her people are doing. She would be a wonderful companion for an active family that appreciates an affectionate, playful, and incredibly loving dog.   Could Oreo be the missing spot in your family? Story
Amber is a gorgeous, purebred Dalmatian puppy with a brilliant mind and a sweet soul. Indoors, she loves learning, focuses beautifully, and excels at brain games. She is a high-energy working dog going through her teenage phase, and when we got her at 6 months old, we learned she came from a bad environment and breeder. Living in a busy city apartment has caused Amber severe outdoor sound sensitivity and environmental anxiety. When she encounters loud traffic, stairs, or tight spaces, she experiences a severe panic response. Right now, I'm calling this 'learned behaviour'. She will freeze, wrap around her handler's legs, or lunge and pull with massive force to flee. When over-aroused or frustrated, she tunes out treats and commands. She is incredibly strong, and her leash lunging requires a confident handler who can handle her physical power. Amber is a wonderful dog who just needs the right classroom and right leader. Once adopted, she comes with all her things plus spay agreement.

Story
Spots and dots, and dots and spots! Give a warm welcome to Gemini, a 3-year old, 48-pound Dalmatian who sports exquisite markings, a playful personality, and a friendly demeanor. And that’s just the beginning! Gemini is fully housebroken, he’s crate-trained, he loves spending time outdoors, and he travels like a pro. This stunning fella is warm and engaging with everyone he meets, from kids, to adults, to the elderly, as well as to other dogs. He loves horsing around with his pooch pals and he never met a toy he didn’t like. Attentive and willing to learn, Gemini doesn’t seem to know commands as of yet, but he responds to his name and rarely wanders off too far. If he does, he comes back the second you call his name. Without much effort, the clever boy should be able to pick up lots of words and phrases, in no time flat. Gemini would best be described as a Velcro dog - - the type of companion who soaks up attention like a sponge and possesses a limitless supply of love. Eager to give and receive affection, Gemini is the cuddliest, snuggliest, sweetest guy imaginable, and he would make a spot-tacular addition to just about any type of home! Story
Hi! I'm Twix, and I'm a lovable 60 pound 1 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix. My foster family says I'm a playful goofball and a very smart boy. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, come, paw, and touch. I'm also house trained. I'm still very much a puppy, so I hope to find a forever family that will help me continue my training. I'm a good leash walker, but I also love running around and playing off leash, so a fenced in yard is definitely on my wish list. My two favorite things in the world are playing and food. I love to play with toys and having play dates with other dogs. I have 3 foster dog siblings right now, so I could be in a home with another dog but I love to be the center of attention too. If you like to snuggle, I'm your guy! I love to snuggle with my humans on the couch. After some morning play time and a walk, I spend the day napping or playing with toys while my foster parents work from home.I can be nervous when meeting new people or going to new places, but treats and positive attention help me get comfortable quickly. Because I'm a big boy and have teenage puppy energy, I would do best in a home without small children. I can't wait to meet my forever family!Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Meet Noelle—a breathtaking 4-year-old purebred Dalmatian with a heart as beautiful as her spotted coat. At 58 pounds, Noelle is the complete package. She is house-trained, crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, and has a calm, affectionate personality that makes her an absolute joy to be around. After losing her beloved owner, Noelle found herself without a home through no fault of her own. Thankfully, Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, ensuring she received everything she needed, including being spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and confirmed heartworm negative. She is healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start. What makes Noelle truly exceptional is her temperament. Every veterinary professional who has met her has commented on how incredibly sweet and well-mannered she is. In fact, four different medical professionals independently said she is the sweetest Dalmatian they’ve ever worked with. She adores people, loves being part of whatever you’re doing, and will happily accompany you on walks, road trips, or quiet evenings at home. She does best with male dogs and may be selective with female dogs. If you’ve been searching for a loyal, affectionate companion and appreciate the wonderful qualities of the Dalmatian breed, Noelle is ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and plenty of smiles. To learn more about adopting Noelle, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Sometimes the perfect dog is simply waiting for her second chance.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 16, 2026, 8:58 pm

CASPER IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Hi, my name is Casper, and I am a very sweet, playful, energetic neutered boy.  I am a dalmation/pit mix, with one blue eye and one brown eye. I am about 2 years old. I am crate trained and have had no accidents in the house. I am strong, but my foster dad has taught me to walk on a leash. I really enjoy this exercise and time of bonding. I am a medium sized dog at a little less than 50 pounds. I enjoy the outdoors in a safe, fenced yard, but I am mainly an indoor dog. Won't you please consider adding me to your family? He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT.
