Story
Spots and dots, and dots and spots! Give a warm welcome to Gemini, a 3-year old, 48-pound Dalmatian who sports exquisite markings, a playful personality, and a friendly demeanor. And that’s just the beginning! Gemini is fully housebroken, he’s crate-trained, he loves spending time outdoors, and he travels like a pro. This stunning fella is warm and engaging with everyone he meets, from kids, to adults, to the elderly, as well as to other dogs. He loves horsing around with his pooch pals and he never met a toy he didn’t like. Attentive and willing to learn, Gemini doesn’t seem to know commands as of yet, but he responds to his name and rarely wanders off too far. If he does, he comes back the second you call his name. Without much effort, the clever boy should be able to pick up lots of words and phrases, in no time flat. Gemini would best be described as a Velcro dog - - the type of companion who soaks up attention like a sponge and possesses a limitless supply of love. Eager to give and receive affection, Gemini is the cuddliest, snuggliest, sweetest guy imaginable, and he would make a spot-tacular addition to just about any type of home! If you would like to adopt this wonderful dog, please email rescue@pupstarzresxue.org or visit www.pupstarzrescue.org for an application Please note that Gemini is blind. Story
Here’s a warm, approachable version that should resonate well with potential adopters: We are looking to rehome our wonderful 1-year-old Dalmatian. He is an extraordinarily sweet, affectionate, and loving dog who would do beautifully with a family or someone able to give him the time and attention he deserves. He is fully house trained, up to date on all shots, and has recent vet records available. He has not yet been neutered. He has a great amount of energy and thrives with engagement, play, and structure. Unfortunately, I am a business executive and travel far too much to properly give him the consistency and attention he needs. This is a very difficult decision because he truly is an amazing dog. We are looking for a loving home where he will be cared for, exercised, and deeply loved. He would make an incredible companion for the right person or family.

Story
Hi! I'm Twix, and I'm a lovable 60 pound 1 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix. My foster family says I'm a playful goofball and a very smart boy. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, come, paw, and touch. I'm also house trained. I'm still very much a puppy, so I hope to find a forever family that will help me continue my training. I'm a good leash walker, but I also love running around and playing off leash, so a fenced in yard is definitely on my wish list. My two favorite things in the world are playing and food. I love to play with toys and having play dates with other dogs. I have 3 foster dog siblings right now, so I could be in a home with another dog but I love to be the center of attention too. If you like to snuggle, I'm your guy! I love to snuggle with my humans on the couch. After some morning play time and a walk, I spend the day napping or playing with toys while my foster parents work from home.I can be nervous when meeting new people or going to new places, but treats and positive attention help me get comfortable quickly. Because I'm a big boy and have teenage puppy energy, I would do best in a home without small children. I can't wait to meet my forever family!Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Misha (Moish, Moishie) is a 3 year old Dalmadoodle (Dalmatian/poodle mix). He is a medium sized dog, about 50 pounds, active, happy and loving. He is up to date on all of his shots, microchipped, and neutered. Misha is excellent with other dogs- playtime and wrestling are his favorite things on the planet. He’s great with kids, knows to be gentle but does demand attention from all eyes in the room. He is not* hypoallergenic, small heads up to those with allergies! We sadly have come to the conclusion that the apartment life is not all that suitable, however, with the right person and an open schedule, someone would be a better fit. Misha deserves the freedom, love and attention we currently cannot give. He’ll make an excellent companion or addition to any family or solo friend!

If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.May 28, 2026, 11:15 am
