Gonzo is a 6-year-old Dalmatian mix and 70 lbs of pure good boy energy. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and has perfect house manners. He knows *sit, down, and paw* — and that paw? He offers it like a gentleman sealing the deal on being your best friend. He’s past the puppy nonsense. No chewing, no accidents, no bouncing off the walls. He settles beautifully in the house, sleeps through the night in his crate, and just wants to be where his people are. Good with other dogs, friendly, easy-going, and happy to share space. Total lean in for all the pets kind of guy. Smart & eager to please, knows his basics and is always up to learn more for a treat. This big guy is looking for a cat-free home he’s a little too interested in our feline friends. But give him a comfy couch, and someone to love? He’s in heaven. Gonzo isn’t a project. He’s ready for a family, ready for a routine, ready to be someone’s loyal shadow for the rest of his days. Who’s got room on their couch for this handsome hunk? Could that someone be you? When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Let me tell you about myself, I am cute, happy, loving, nervous at times, but have the long legs of a pointer! I have lots of energy for running, jumping and playing and I have the handsome chiseled jaw that most actors would love to have! Now if you need a great looking chap, look my way!!! I'm named Tuffy but what I really am is a big Softy. I'm an active, sweet boy and kind of a goofball. I came from a very nice couple who loved me very much, however, they were homeless. Now don't get me wrong, they took EXCELLENT care of me, but I am a BIG boy and they were having a hard time taking me on the buses or into the shelters :( So, my parents asked the rescue to take me in and find me the right home. I'm a GORGEOUS Catahoula boy, tall, merle and HANDSOME!! My eyes tell my story and it is a good one! I'm a playful and fun, a BIG boy around 65lbs. I am learning manners and making ALL kinds of friends at the rescue, but I am waiting for the SPECIAL FRIENDS who will give me my WILDEST DREAM- A HOME! SO, look me up, don't wait... APPLY!!!!
