Story
Im looking for a loving home for my beautiful 3-year-old female Dalmatian. She has the classic Dalmatian personality. energetic, playful, and very sweet. She does great with people, children, and other dogs, shes a very friendly girl who enjoys attention and being part of the action. She currently lives with cats and gets along well with 3 of my 4 cats. One of my cats is aggressive toward her and has hissed and tried to attack her, and she has nipped back at that cat before, so a home without an aggressive cat would probably be best. She does not do well with chickens, so she would need a home without poultry or farm birds. She was previously housebroken when living inside. Right now she stays in a room that has access to go in and out on her own, so Im not completely sure how she would adjust back to full indoor house living, but with consistency she may pick it back up quickly. She would likely do best with an active family who understands the Dalmatian energy level.

Story
Pongo was born in December 2024 and weighs 47 lbs . Pongo does well with other dogs and children. He loves to play fetch and go for walks. We are addressing his skin issues and will be scheduled to be neutered soon.Pongo is participating in the cell dog program which is where the dog stays at the prison with a dog handler working on basic obedience and house, crate, and leash training. It’s an amazing program! We will start taking apps but she will be in the program for a few weeks so please be patient. The adoption fee covers the neuter at our vet, vaccines (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) dewormings and heartworm/lyme testing. If you are out of the area, you would be responsible to complete the vetting that has not been completed by the time of adoption. You can apply on our website:https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html  ***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries. Please remember that  we are 100 % entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014Apply at https://theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form/

Story
When I was born, I assure you I didn't want to grow up to be left in a high kill shelter, however, that is what happened to me. LUCKILY, the fates (and some awesome rescue folks) aligned and saved me from certain death and brought me to a safe place where I can find a REAL family and a REAL home. Let me tell you about myself, I am cute, happy, loving, nervous at times, but have the long legs of a pointer! I have lots of energy for running, jumping and playing and I have the handsome chiseled jaw that most actors would love to have! Now if you need a great looking chap, look my way!!! ADOPT...........DON'T SHOP!!! My LIFE depends on it!!! LOcal adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Marlene’s journey started on the streets, before her foster was finally able to bring her to safety. Now she’s warm, loved, and ready to find her forever family. This sweet girl is shy at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle personality shines. She’s also won over by food—a few treats go a long way in helping her feel comfortable and connected. Marlene thrives with the companionship of other dogs. Having a confident canine friend boosts her own confidence, and she can happily play with them all day long. She is crate trained and housebroken. Marlene would do best in a calmer home with older children, as quick or unexpected movements can still startle her. With patience, kindness, and a steady routine, she’ll continue to blossom into the affectionate, loyal companion she was always meant to be. Marlene is ready for a family who can give her the love and reassurance she’s been waiting for. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You know, I am named "Tuffy" but what if I am just a "Softy"?? I am an active and sweet boy and I am kind of a goofball, too. I came from a very nice couple who loved me very much, however, they were homeless. Now don't get me wrong, they took EXCELLENT care of me, but I am a BIG puppy and they were having a hard time taking me on the buses or letting me into the shelters :( So, my parents asked the rescue to take me in and find me the right home, so here I am, looking all buff- if you ask me :) I am a GORGEOUS Catahoula boy, tall, merle and HANDSOME!! My eyes tell my story and it is a good one! I have time on my hands and I am a playful and fun kind of pup. BIG puppy- 65# and growing :) I am learning my manners and am making ALL kinds of friends at the rescue, but I am waiting for the SPECIAL FRIENDS who will give me my WILDEST DREAM- A HOME! SO, look me up, don't wait... APPLY!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
