When we rescued Star, she had a gunshot wound through her jaw and ear. She was in terrible pain. She had surgery to remove the bullets from her jaw, and now her tongue permanently hangs out; it does not affect her eating. We think this makes her uniquely special! Star is such a sweet baby, and she deserves a loving home after everything she has been through. She cannot help it if somebody shot her. Star is very sweet and loves to ride in the car. She loves dogs, and she loves children. She loves to roll over for a belly rub, and she knows the sit command. She is extremely smart!

Kiddie pools, stock tanks, puddles—you name it! My favorite pastime is climbing into a water tank, sinking down until I'm completely submerged, and leaving just my eyes above the surface like a little alligator. It's guaranteed to make you laugh. When I'm not making a splash, you'll usually find me carrying around a toy or convincing someone to play a game of tug-of-war. I get along great with other dogs and love having canine friends, but if you ask me what I love most, the answer is easy: people. I'm the definition of a loyal companion. I'll happily rest my big head on your shoulder or in your lap, soaking up all the love you're willing to give. Even though I'm still a puppy (which means I have the occasional silly puppy moment), I'm surprisingly laid-back and easygoing.
