Story
Echo was adopted from the humane society in May 2024. Per his history, he had been a stray and believed to be deaf. He is definitely hard of hearing but has been taught basic hand signs for commands. He should be monitored around cats and small animals. He does not like to be alone and has chewed through/escaped two standard crates. He can be crated in a sturdy crate. Easy to bathe.

Story
Meet Dorito! This 5-year-old, 28-pound mixed-breed pup had a tough beginning, but with the help of his devoted foster, he’s made remarkable strides. Once a frightened stray, Dorito is learning to trust and is blossoming into a gentle, playful companion. Dorito delights in using the doggy door to carry his toys outside, where he happily entertains himself by tossing them around. He enjoys being brushed, has started taking treats directly from his foster’s hand, and is slowly becoming comfortable on a leash. Inside the home, he’s calm, quiet, and appears to be house-trained. Dorito would do best in a patient, loving home—ideally with another dog to help build his confidence. If you have a kind heart and a little extra love to give, Dorito may be the perfect addition to your family.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Help us welcome sweet Sparky to the PNW. He came to WA from a high kill shelter in California in hopes of finding his perfect forever home. Sparky is such a loving, friendly and sweet boy, and will make his forever family very happy! Sparky is a ~1 year old, 51lb Dalmatian mix. Sparky absolutely loves attention from his people, he has a sweet and loving demeanor and loves belly rubs, pets, and treats! We believe Sparky may have some hearing impairment but is otherwise a very happy and healthy pup! Sparky takes treats gently and is a smart boy. He will do wonderful with a family that will continue basic obedience with him. Sparky has been happy and playful with other dogs in our care, and more confident with other dogs around. Sparky would love another playful and sweet dog in his forever home. Sparky is an amazing dog and is ready to find his people! Apply on our website if you are interested and we will be in touch if it looks like a good fit. Sparky is not tested with cats or children. We would love to find him a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play! Sparky is UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Cooper is a 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a gentle, thoughtful spirit who just needed time to feel safe. When he first arrived in his foster home, it was clear he hadn’t had much (if any) socialization with people or everyday life inside a home. Regular household sounds, movement, even the TV were overwhelming. His crate became his safe place, and he would choose to go there often just to feel secure. With patience and consistency, Cooper has slowly blossomed. Now he spends most of his day resting calmly on the couch or laying in the kitchen while meals are being made. He used to be nervous in the car, but now he gets excited to go for rides. He didn’t understand treats at first, but now he joyfully pops up on his hind legs to ask for one. Cooper does very well with dogs of all sizes and is respectful of cats. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training—he hasn’t had an accident in the house in about a week. Though he is around 4 years old, he still has a bit of youthful playfulness in him. He loves belly rubs, gentle massages, chewing on toys, and watching the world go by from the cat perch. On walks, he is calm, rarely pulls, and often looks back to “check in” with his person—he truly wants to do things right. Because unpredictable movement can still make him nervous, Cooper would do best in a calm home without young children. He needs someone who can offer patience, steadiness, and understanding. Cooper has already come so far. With a loving, reassuring person by his side, he will continue to open up and become the loyal, tender, devoted companion he is meant to be. Story
We rescued Cocoa a year ago from an elderly woman whose circumstances changed suddenly. Since then, we have fostered her and watched her personality shine! Cocoa is a stuffed toy enthusiast who loves to frolic with her stuffy after breakfast. Her favorite things are treats, short walks, playing fetch, car rides, and napping in the sun. She shows her affection for you by leaning into you for pets, and gazing at you longingly. Her Needs: A Tidy Yard - Cocoa is a "poop-snacker," which leads to chronic Giardia. She needs a family committed to a "scoop as you go" yard policy to keep her tummy healthy. Gentle Pace - Due to hip issues, she prefers shorter, easy walks and a supportive bed to rest her joints. The Only - Cocoa needs to be the only pet in a kid-free home. This ensures her health doesn't impact other dogs and allows her to soak up all the attention she loves! Cocoa is ready for a predictable routine and a home of her own. In return, she will be your most devoted companion!
