Story
Hi! My name is Ruger, and I am a spunky, handsome, 4 year old, good doberboy looking for my furever family. I enjoy long walks on the beach, quiet nights at home with my family, a good meal, a warm bed and all the love I can get! If you are looking for a velcro Doberman, then look no further because this hunk of love likes to be right by your side. I am learning all about what it’s like to live in a nice warm (or cool in AZ) house. I enjoy the occasional bark at noises in the yard or things in the street, but it’s not excessive. I love to run in the yard and play with all of my toys. I especially love soccer balls! I am learning to be a good boy on a leash and love my weekly, medicated bath. I even jump in the bath tub all by myself. I will need someone who will be willing to continue my treatment for valley fever and give me a weekly bath (my fur was all gone but is slowly growing in). I like cats a little too much so I need to be in a cat free home. I need people who respect my space and I'm not sure I'd like tiny humans too much. I love my 12 year old human brother because he knows how to love me just the way I like it. I kind of like to be the boss of the other dogs so a slow intro is a must if I'm going to be around other dogs. I do get along well with my current doberbrother most of the time. I have been fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, and I'm ready to find my forever home. I know the perfect family is out there for me and I will patiently wait for you to find me. If you think I'm the one for you, please go to lovethemALLrescue.org/ruger to learn more and apply to adopt. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Sonora is a young Doberman, around 1 year old, whose story is as heartbreaking as it is extraordinary, and her spirit is nothing short of inspiring. She was discovered on the border of Mexico, tied to a tree by her back foot. When we found her, we were already there picking up two other dogs in need when we came across her in this devastating condition. Sonora was freshly postpartum, severely emaciated, and still visibly engorged, clearly having just given birth and left to suffer alone. Despite everything she had endured, Sonora met us with softness. There is a quiet gentleness in her, a sweetness that somehow survived even the worst kind of neglect. From the very beginning, she has shown us that she is kind, beautiful, and deeply resilient. Now safe with us, Sonora is finally receiving the care, nutrition, and stability she has always deserved. She is a shy girl, preparing to head to training with our friends at Connected Canine, where she will continue building confidence, learning structure, and discovering just how good life can truly be. We cannot wait to watch her continue to heal, grow, and thrive. Sonora is ready for a future filled with safety, love, and patience, and in return, she will give her whole heart. If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who will give you everything she has, please submit an adoption application at skysanctuaryrescue.org/applications. Once received, we’d be happy to answer any questions and arrange a meet-and-greet with Sonora.

Story
Tuckerr is an 8 year old male Doberman. This incredibly sweet boy can be shy at first, slow to trust new things or new people. When he warms up, he blossoms, and will greet you at the door with full-body wiggles and an excited nub. Sometimes, he will give you play bows when he is really excited. Tuckerr finds comfort around other dogs, and enjoys a more calm environment, so he would be great for a quieter home. He rides nicely in the car, is crate trained (though he doesn’t need one), and is easy to live with. Tuckerr has incredibly soft ears, and once he warms up, he loves them to be rubbed. He just needs a little patience, and then he’s ready to be your best friend. Tucker is ready to find his forever best friend and would be a great reading, gardening, or movie marathon on the couch partner.

Story
Hanzo is an 9 year old male Doberman. Hanzo’s foster says he has two personalities – Indoor and Outdoor. Indoor Hanzo is calm, gentle, and loves to nap. He loves to cuddle and get pets. Outside, he is excited and ready to play. Hanzo is crate trained, and you’ll almost always find him with a ball or toy in his mouth. Hanzo could use some help with continued leash training. Hanzo has done well with other dogs his whole life – however he can be a bit forward with some dogs. Hanzo was returned to DHDR recently due to not jiving well with the other dog in his adoptive home. We believe Hanzo would do well as an only dog, or possibly with just the right passive dog. However, he can easily be around other pups out in public. Hanzo is one of the easiest dogs we’ve ever had – living with him is relaxing and low-stress. This special boy is going to make someone very happy.

Story
Romeo, an approximately 4yo male Doberman, lives up to his name. This cassanova loves to cuddle and be with his people. He’s a bit of an introvert, and would be happiest hanging at home and going on walks. As a new tri-pawd, he gets around great on three legs. Romeo is gentle, rides nicely in a car, does well having his nails done, and knows basic obedience. He will go in a crate, but enjoys being free in the house. When he’s hungry or wants to express his feelings, Romeo will air chomp. He does well around other dogs, though he is on the forward side, so would fit best with a canine companion ok with his approach. This incredibly special boy can’t wait to find his forever person.
