Story
Meet Cy! Cy is our adventurous, outdoorsy boy who’s currently soaking up life in beautiful Payson, AZ! He’s happiest exploring the Great Outdoors — chasing lizards and squirrels (don’t worry, he never catches them!) and sneaking peanuts from the squirrel feeder to enjoy while lounging in the grass. Recently, Cy met his foster sister Ellijay (Ellie for short), and the two quickly became inseparable. They cuddle together for car rides, share naps, and love their daily walks and weekly park adventures. We would be thrilled to see this sweet duo find a forever home together, where they can enjoy plenty of space to run, play, and live life to the fullest. True to his Doberman nature, Cy is loyal and protective, but once he knows you, he’s an affectionate and devoted friend. Cy’s perfect home: 🐶 Good with medium to large dogs (with proper introductions) 👧 Best with children 8 and older 🐱 No cats, please If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a love for adventure — and maybe room for his best friend Ellie too — Cy might just be your guy! ❤️ Please email SPWHEELS1@GMAIL.COM

Shelby’s Adoption DisclaimerShelby is a truly special girl with a tender heart and a brave spirit. She came into our rescue as a fragile bottle baby after losing her mom, and though she has grown into a gentle, loving sweetheart, she still carries some medical challenges from her early start.Shelby has a weakened immune system from complications during bottle feeding. She has had several bouts of pneumonia and may face future respiratory or health issues. She thrives in a calm home with low stress and no exposure to cold weather.Despite everything she’s been through, Shelby is pure love. She just needs a family who understands her needs and is ready to give her the consistent care, protection, and comfort she deserves.By adopting Shelby, you’re not just gaining a companion — you’re giving a vulnerable soul the chance at a safe, stable, love-filled life. The rescue simply needs to ensure her forever family is fully aware and prepared to support her special needs.

Story
HELLO FUTURE FAMILY! I'M CASEY!   Your soon-to-be best friend, adventure buddy, and professional tail-wagger! Hi there! My name is  Casey , and I’m a 2½-year-old Doberman mix with a heart as big as my paws and a smile that could melt a snowstorm. I’ve been hanging out at this awesome rescue since I was just a little pup (about 3 months old!), but now I’m all grown up and ready to find my forever home. Could it be with you? Let me tell you a little about myself:   Personality Plus : I’m a sweet, gentle soul who LOVES everyone—kids, grown-ups, and other dogs too! I’m the kind of guy who makes friends wherever I go. I’m also super quiet—seriously, I hardly ever bark. I’m more of a “strong, silent type” with a soft heart.   Smart Cookie : I’m a quick learner and super smart, so training me will be a breeze! I’ve never lived inside a house before, so I’ll need a little help with house training—but I promise I’ll try my best and learn fast!   Adventure-Ready : Whether it’s a walk in the park, a road trip, or just lounging in the backyard, I’m up for anything as long as I’m with you. I’ve got a curious spirit and a wagging tail that’s always ready to go!   Family Ties : My brothers and I were rescued together. Two of them have already found their homes, but my brother Cohen and I are still waiting. Maybe you’ve got room for two?   Cat Curious : I’ve never met a cat before, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them—but I’m open to new experiences!   Health Check! I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccinations. I’m ready to go!   Let’s Meet! If you’re ready to meet your new best friend (that’s me!), just send an email to  mike@caaronline.org  to set up a playdate. I’ll be waiting with my tail wagging and my heart open. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dog are adopted on a first come - first served basis. Central Arizona Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. We are located in San Tan Valley, AZ. If you have other dogs already, you must bring them for introduction prior to adoption. Story
Meet Tita! This beautiful girl is a 3 year old, 25 pound Miniature Pinscher blend who is looking for her forever home! She is a friendly and sociable girl, who looks to her handler for cues. She's working on her basic commands and has quickly mastered "sit." She enjoys the company of other dogs, unless they are too forward, when meeting her. She has good leash manners, and her favorite activity is hanging out with her humans, particularly if it involves treats! This little darling is enjoying being spoiled by one of our amazing foster homes, and she'll be at the Adoption Center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. You may also email info@AzFriends.org to schedule a weekday appointment. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
