Story
Hi, my name is Zeus and I recently turned 1 year old! I’m a very energetic and friendly dog. I love going to the dog park, going on runs, and playing fetch. I love kids and playing with other dogs too. I was given as a gift to my current owner, but unfortunately he works too much to keep up with all of my needs. I am looking for an adoptive parent who has the time and energy to take care of a loving and lovable Doberman like me!

Story
Beauty, sweetness, and smarts, Abby is a perfect package. She's just a gorgeous, wonderful girl. She's so well adjusted and loving. House trained, doesn't chew, fine when left by herself, she doesn't even bark! We're guessing her age at 1-1/2, maybe 2. Breed again we're guessing as Dobie mix. She hasn't been around dogs, but has no reaction when she sees them. I think she'd be fine, but a slow introduction is always needed. I have no clue about cats or small kids, but as perfect as she is she'd probably be ok. She'll go to her new home spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Available for adoption through Kim's Kritters.

Story
Reyna is a beautiful Shepherd/Doberman mix who was born in August 2016. She weighs about 50 lbs. Reyna survived parvo as a puppy but unfortunately, was subsequently diagnosed with two other congenital issues - Megaesophagus (ME) and Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). Dogs with ME have a dilated esophagus due to lack of muscle tone, which causes food to sit in the esophagus rather than travel to the stomach. Reyna's ME is very mild and is managed by making sure she eats and drinks from an elevated feeder. EPI occurs when the pancreas does not secrete the enzymes needed to digest food and results in weight loss and diarrhea. Reyna's EPI is managed by adding a supplement to her food that costs approximately $100 per month. Both conditions are currently well-managed. Reyna is good with most of the dogs in her foster home but can be pushy sometimes. She likes to chase cats. Reyna does not meet new dogs well - she becomes very defensive, so needs time to make new dog friends. She is good with people but too active for small children. She is housebroken and crate trained. Reyna would love to have a family of her own.

Story
Rafiki is a special almost 3 year old Doberman. She has Megaesophagus, which means food has difficulty getting from her mouth to her stomach. Rafi will need to eat and drink upright for the rest of her life, ideally in a Bailey chair. She will require equally as special parents, dedicated to her feeding needs. This sweetheart has a ton of puppy energy, and plays just like a normal Doberman. She will need activity and structure like any puppy. Gentle and great at picking up on cues, Rafiki does well with other dogs and cats. She also loves youngsters and is eligible for adoption to families with children. Rafiki loves to camp, hike, and adventure with her foster family. She attends local vet schools to teach them about her special needs, and is a local celebrity. Rafiki has even attended a camp for special needs children. She would make a great therapy dog! You can learn more about  Megaesophagus (sometimes called Mega-e or ME) here: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/megaesophagus DHDR will be providing a custom Bailey chair to Rafiki's adopter. If you are just the right fit for Rafi or want to talk about her further, email Contact@azdoberescue.org.

Story
Meet Monty! This adorable 6-year-old Chihuahua/Min Pin is ready to find his forever home!  Good with Kids Good with a majority of dogs Never been around cats Monty is a sweet guy who loves to snuggle under the covers when it’s bedtime.  He enjoys all types of toys to play with but some of his favorite are chew bones, anything with stuffy and tug-a-war toys.  One of his favorite activists is running around doing zoomies in the yard, playing chase with his canine friends. He uses a dog door and does well in a crate. He was 1 of the 8 dogs that was lucky enough to fly to the US from Costa Rica to get a new chance at life. Monty is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.  July 25, 2024, 5:28 am
