Story
Scooby is 2yr 9mo old. He is said to be a Lab/Pitbull/Doberman mix. Scooby is a friendly, loving dog who gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children. He has no allergies, medical conditions, or medications. He has a moderate energy level and would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard. Scooby knows commands including sit, stay, paw, lay, wait, and okay. He loves being outside and going on walks, but he definitely still needs some leash training. He can get pretty excited and distracted when he’s outside, so listening isn’t always his strong suit and he tends to pull. I’ve found that he does best with a harness. Since he’s still young, he can be a little mouthy when he’s excited and will gently nibble on my hands or arms while playing, but he never bites down hard. He’s a super sweet dog and loves attention, cuddles, and being around people. He just needs someone who is willing to continue working with him and give him plenty of exercise and consistency while he matures.

Story
She’s such a good and sweet dog, but she does need extra care and attention due to her anxiety and fear of a lot of things, she also submissive pees. I think in a past home she was abused. My schedule is too busy for her since she’ll require some extra training, workarounds, and attention to overcome these issues. She is very sweet and smart though, doesn’t bark except on very rare occasions, and is very attentive, she is not destructive and loves to be near other dogs and socialize with them. She’s great with kittens and children. I think more socializing will help overcome her fears and gain some confidence, and I’d only had time/money for a regular dog, not two. If you love a cuddle bug, and have another younger dog she’d enjoy playing with, and a door to a backyard where she can pee first thing, I think that will resolve a lot of her anxiousness. She deserves the world and a playmate, which I am unable to give. I’d rather let her go to someone who can provide that

Story
Buster is a 2yearold, 40pound sweetheart who is so ready to finally find the family he’s been waiting for. Dumped in a recycling area with his sister as a tiny puppy, his story could have taken a heartbreaking turn, but instead, he grew into a gentle, loving, quietly joyful boy with the softest heart. Every day he reminds us how resilient and special he truly is. He’s fully vetted, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and already house trained, making him more than ready for a smooth transition into his forever home. Buster is both dog and cat friendly, and he absolutely lights up when he has animal friends around him. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and at least one playful dog to help build his confidence and bring out his silly, happy side. Buster can take a little extra time to warm up to men, but with patience, kindness, and a gentle approach, he forms incredibly strong, loyal bonds. Once he trusts you, he is all in. He loves toys, enjoys exploring the yard, and has a playful spark that grows brighter every day. After he gets his energy out, he’s more than happy to settle in close for quiet cuddle time. He is smart, eager to learn, and has all the makings of a deeply devoted companion. Whoever gives him his chance will gain a loving, loyal, truly special best friend. Buster has been waiting so patiently for someone to see the beautiful soul he is.     If you are ready to welcome Buster into your heart and home furever, please apply at www.compassionkind.org/adopt ##2185900##

Story
We adopted Roxie / Roxanne / The She Beast in August 2024 from the Upland Animal Shelter in Upland, CA. She is such a sweet, LOVING, intelligent, and playful doggie! She moved with us across the country, has lived with us in our home with multiple cats, and has been around people of all ages. She loves children, and likes to play with them and cuddle. She is really a great dog - this rehoming is completely on us for not being able to provide the time she needs to her. This decision is tough for us to make, but after trying to make being dog-people work for the last 2 years - we have come to terms with the facts. Roxie deserves better. We have done a really good amount of training with her and she knows plenty commands - I listed more facts about her in the photos. We are in the Valrico area. ***PLZ DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN ONCE - THIS LOCKS OUR ACCOUNT AND OTHER PEOPLE CANNOT APPLY **We see the application, we are looking for the best fit for her. Do not apply multiple times. Thank you.

Story
Don't let Jefe's age fool you! At 7 years old, he still has the energy, speed, and athleticism of a much younger dog. This handsome mixed-breed boy (mostly Doberman Pinscher with traces of Retriever and Terrier) is a stunning sight to watch as he races around our fenced-in yard with incredible grace and joy. Jefe has overcome some challenges in his life. When he came to us, he had a tangerine-sized mass under his tail. Thankfully, it was successfully removed and found to be benign, and he's now healthy and ready for the next chapter of his life. Jefe has proven how resilient he is. What he wants now is a family of his own - one that will embrace his active spirit, give him plenty of exercise, and shower him with love. In return, you'll gain a loyal, affectionate companion who is eager to be by your side through every adventure. Our adoption process involves a foster (trial) period and home visits, so we're looking for potential adopters in Bradenton or Sarasota (Florida). An adoption application can be found on our website (www.hpcanimalrescue.org).

Story
A friend was giving away puppies that needed to be taken, as they could not afford to keep them all. We kept him since he was 1 month, we have always had limited time for him and we initially were supposed to rehome him sooner than later but we never went through with it. We have been put in a position where we have due to behavioral, family and financial circumstances. He is 5 years old, he needs a lot of physical maintenance due to his very hyper personality. We’re looking for a loving, patient, and committed home where he will be treated as a member of the family. He would do best with someone who has experience with large, energetic dogs and is willing to provide him with consistent exercise, structure, and training. We want a home that understands the responsibility of owning a dog and is prepared to give him the time, attention, and care he deserves.
