Story
Selena Possible Breed: Doberman/Kelpie mix DOB: 5/18/24 Selena is a gentle, affectionate young pup who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s a quiet and well-behaved girl who loves to snuggle but also enjoys playtime and daily walks. Selena is very smart and gets along well with other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for both people and pets. Since being rescued from a dangerous situation, Selena has blossomed in her foster home. She loves toys, adores her crate as her safe spot, and has recently discovered the joy of curling up on the couch. When she’s not zooming around the yard, she’ll often stop by to give her foster mom sweet hand kisses — she’s truly a little lovebug. Selena would thrive in a calmer home environment and would do best with no children or with kids over the age of 12. A privacy fence is recommended for all her speedy zoomies! She’ll need a little time to adjust to her new home, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through. Selena is seeking a home where she can feel secure and loved — with humans who will give her the patience and kindness she deserves to show what an amazing, devoted girl she truly is. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will bring warmth and love to your home, Selena is your girl. If you are interested in meeting Selena, please visit https://www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org/ to fill out an application!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Asher is a 65-pound Doberman mix with lots of love to offer. When you first meet Asher, she is shy and nervous. Once she warms up to you, she is all kisses and cuddles. Asher gets along with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. Asher loves to go hiking and enjoys running through the woods. She also enjoys wandering into ponds. Asher also enjoys spending time with her humans lounging on the couch. Ashers' ideal home would be with active adults with a fenced-in yard. Due to Ashers nervous behavior, she would do best in a home with no small children. Teenage or older would be best. Upon adoption, Asher would require patience for her to transition into a new home. She would also need a crate for a safe space. Once she is in her comfort zone, she is an amazing dog. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.* Asher’s adoption fee is $400. 00  (Includes microchip and age appropriate vaccines)   *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Story
Donna has loved, Donna has lost, and yet Donna is still hoping.Donna is a senior Doberman mix with a graying face and the softest, most trusting eyes. Her body carries the years she`s lived, but her heart is wide open - full of love, gentleness, and a quiet joy for simply being close to her people.Donna`s life hasn`t been fair. She was once found tied to a tree, left behind and forgotten. Later, she finally knew what it felt like to be loved in a home... only to lose it again when her owner passed away. Through every heartbreak, Donna never hardened. She never stopped trusting humans. She never stopped hoping that someone, somewhere, would choose her and mean it forever. She is incredibly sweet with people of all ages, including young children. Donna has a way of leaning her whole body into you for hugs, resting her head against your chest like she`s saying, `I`m here. I`ve got you.` She`s a quiet presence in the home - not much of a barker - and her house manners are impeccable. She politely circles by the door when she needs to go outside, has no desire to climb on furniture, and settles calmly into her crate when left alone.Walks are one of the simple joys Donna still gets excited about. She may start out with a little eagerness, pulling just enough to remind you she`s still got life in her, but with gentle guidance she quickly settles into an easy, peaceful stride. She doesn`t need much - just to be included, just to be beside someone.Donna is looking for a calm, loving home where she can be the only pet - no cats and no other dogs - a place where she doesn`t have to compete for affection and can finally exhale, knowing she`s safe and staying.Donna doesn`t ask for much. A soft place to rest. A hand to lean into. A human who won`t disappear. She has spent her life loving fully, even when it cost her everything. Now, she deserves someone who will love her just as fiercely in return. If you believe that senior dogs still have so much love to give - and that some souls are worth choosing again and again - Donna is waiting. Please fill out a no-obligation application to meet her. (She is available for foster or foster-to-adopt).Adoption fee is $140Almost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:1) Be at least 21 years of age2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household3) Have approval from the residence owner4) Have valid ID with current address5) Be approved by

Story
This adorable spirited little boy and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Barnabas is a gentle little boy, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
