If you're looking for a beautiful Doberman who believes people are far more interesting than toys, Athena may be your girl.
At approximately 62 pounds, this gorgeous 2-year-old is settled into her foster home and officially ready to find the family she'll call her own. Athena's foster says one thing about her is already very clear: This girl LOVES attention.
She's not particularly interested in playing with toys or spending her afternoon fetching a ball over and over. Athena would much rather have something better—you.
For someone looking for a dog who values affection and human companionship over a basket overflowing with toys, that could make Athena a pretty wonderful match.
And this girl already comes with some important life skills!
Athena walks nicely on a loose leash, is crate trained, and is fully potty trained. She's also good with kids and rides through everyday life with quite a few of the basics already checked off her list.
Athena was reported to be dog friendly before arriving in her current foster home, although her foster hasn't personally had the opportunity to confirm that yet. Her compatibility with cats is also still unknown, so those relationships would need to be evaluated carefully.
Her foster believes a fenced yard would be a great addition to Athena's future home, giving her a safe place to stretch her legs and enjoy some outdoor time.
At only 2 years old, Athena has so much life—and love—ahead of her.
