You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Asher is a 65-pound Doberman mix with lots of love to offer. When you first meet Asher, she is shy and nervous. Once she warms up to you, she is all kisses and cuddles. Asher gets along with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats. Asher loves to go hiking and enjoys running through the woods. She also enjoys wandering into ponds. Asher also enjoys spending time with her humans lounging on the couch. Ashers' ideal home would be with active adults with a fenced-in yard. Due to Ashers nervous behavior, she would do best in a home with no small children. Teenage or older would be best. Upon adoption, Asher would require patience for her to transition into a new home. She would also need a crate for a safe space. Story
This adorable spirited little boy and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Barnabas is a gentle little boy, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Story
This adorable little girl and her siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. Story
Chandler loves, LOVES chasing balls and chewing ropes. He is very vocal, whining and barking when he wants attention or needs to go outside/wants to go run the yard. He was kenneled at the shelter for months before coming to rescue, so he is reluctant to crate at his foster home for long periods of time but is sleeping overnight in a crate for practice. He is an anxious chewer and blanket sucker when inside/crated. He prefers to sleep on a dog bed, couch or the floor. Chandler is being trained with boundaries (baby gates) and does not push open doors or push past people. He knows sit and is easy to walk on a leash. He barks at people and things at a distance but does not show aggression. He is tall and at 2 years old, will not get any taller - which is fine since he is above the breed standard of a Doberman and fitting in the category of a Warlock or King size bred Doberman. He is continuing to gain weight/muscle and last weighed 78 lbs. He could be a 95 lb-110 lb dog. >> He will need a family accepting of his initial anxiety - he barks at new things and people (which is unnerving since he's huge) but will give kisses by the 2nd date or meeting, give 48 hours in a new home before he understands. He is working on house training and socializing. He functions with a puppy brain but is very trainable and eager to please. He will jump on people, he will pull at objects in someone's hand. Chandler Goose will require breed experience to adjust to a new home successfully. !!! He has been slowly introduced to other dogs and thriving in group play. He does well with other big dogs males and females; he wants to play and smell, following the lead of other dogs. He would like dog friends and a yard to play. Due to his size and limited social skills, He should not be exercised at a dog park. He was poorly socialized and was not used to strangers and never had dog friends. He was significantly underweight at 54 lbs and barked at strangers. The shelter staff knew the best way to find the 'right' family for their 'Silly Goose' would be through Rescue. Chandler Goose weighed in at 70 lbs during his rescue intake and was still noticeably underweight with poor muscle tone.

Story
Elf freezes and tries not to move when attention is put on him, we know he plays with toys and helps make a mess in the water dish, but he's not been caught in action yet. Elf is a shy baby. He enjoys napping on pillows or dog beds, playing with any toy that squeaks or has a crunchy sound. Elf follows the other dogs and explores as far as his siblings go. He looks for and perks up when he sees dogs. He is being socialized with various dogs in his foster home. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Elf did well eating and after rounds of medication, gained weight and started to thrive. He and his litter then started meeting new [vaccinated] adult dogs to play with. House training is slow due to the initial quarantine (play pen in a designated room of a foster home); the puppies lived outside covered in fleas without shelter when ACO found them. Adopters should have supervised outside time to reinforce potty training without the puppy feeling abandoned. Elf had an extensive exam with X Rays on 12-15-25 which revealed no abnormalities. He had been constipated and as the RUNT of the group, his foster was concerned. Elf does have HUGE paws and as he has grown, he appears a bit bow-legged. DUE TO AGE and medical care (Quarantine, repeat parvo testing, X-Rays, Medicine) the puppy adoption fee applies to this pet. Elf is guessed to be 14 weeks old. Neuter includes corrective surgery of umbilical hernia. We have not done DNA testing. CCR will not crop ears. CCR took care of all 8 Dobermans removed from the home. Elf and Elsa were the youngest (both blacks, about 8 weeks when brought to rescue). These puppies were clearly not handled as babies. They ran from people, hid under furniture. They are held by our fosters - fed by hand and given medication orally, held for nail trims. They did not growl or resist being held, just not as needy as typical dobie puppies who want to be carried like babies. Fostering Saved These Puppies Lives. The Shelter could not provide the medical care the babies required.
