Once the shy girl getting picked on… now Olivia is healed and ready for her forever team. Meet Olivia — a gentle rookie ready for her second chance Olivia is a beautiful Doberman mix who came to rescue after being found on the streets with her siblings, where she was getting picked on by larger dogs. During that time, she suffered a broken femur, which has since been surgically repaired. She’s healing wonderfully and is now ready to focus on the most important next step — finding her forever team. Olivia is still a bit on the shy side and appreciates a slow introduction to new environments and people. She does especially well with another confident dog she can look to for guidance, which helps her feel safe and learn the routine. Despite her past experiences, she actually does great with other dogs, even big ones, once she settles in. She can be a little cautious around kids at first — all that fast movement can feel overwhelming — so gentle, respectful introductions will help her build confidence. She hasn’t been tested with cats to our knowledge. Right now Olivia is hanging out in the Locker Room, finishing her recovery and getting stronger every day while she waits for the family who will show her that the hard days are behind her. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient teammate who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, Olivia is ready to sign her forever contract. This adorable spirited little boy and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Barnabas is a gentle little boy, but dose love to run and play with other dogs. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. Chandler loves, LOVES chasing balls and chewing ropes. He is very vocal, whining and barking when he wants attention or needs to go outside/wants to go run the yard. He was kenneled at the shelter for months before coming to rescue, so he is reluctant to crate at his foster home for long periods of time but is sleeping overnight in a crate for practice. He is an anxious chewer and blanket sucker when inside/crated. He prefers to sleep on a dog bed, couch or the floor. Chandler is being trained with boundaries (baby gates) and does not push open doors or push past people. He knows sit and is easy to walk on a leash. He barks at people and things at a distance but does not show aggression. He is tall and at 2 years old, will not get any taller - which is fine since he is above the breed standard of a Doberman and fitting in the category of a Warlock or King size bred Doberman. He is continuing to gain weight/muscle and last weighed 78 lbs. He could be a 95 lb-110 lb dog. >> He will need a family accepting of his initial anxiety - he barks at new things and people (which is unnerving since he's huge) but will give kisses by the 2nd date or meeting, give 48 hours in a new home before he understands. He is working on house training and socializing. He functions with a puppy brain but is very trainable and eager to please. He will jump on people, he will pull at objects in someone's hand. Chandler Goose will require breed experience to adjust to a new home successfully. !!! He has been slowly introduced to other dogs and thriving in group play. He does well with other big dogs males and females; he wants to play and smell, following the lead of other dogs. He would like dog friends and a yard to play. Due to his size and limited social skills, He should not be exercised at a dog park. He was poorly socialized and was not used to strangers and never had dog friends. He was significantly underweight at 54 lbs and barked at strangers. The shelter staff knew the best way to find the 'right' family for their 'Silly Goose' would be through Rescue. Chandler Goose weighed in at 70 lbs during his rescue intake and was still noticeably underweight with poor muscle tone.

Dominic started the summer couch surfing or patio lounging - no microchip, no collar and not recognized by local families. He is guessed to be 4 years old and loves everyone! He gets along with other dogs, other big males and small dogs too. He is crate trained, now neutered, heartworm treated and on prevention. Dominic is black and tan, docked tail and floppy natural Doberman ears. He last weighted in at 68 lbs and enjoys running the yard at this foster home. He is around children and has never met a stranger, quiet and not a good guard or alert dog - Dominic is here for the PARTY, like a college kid, not currently seeking a job just hoping to get along by his good looks and muscles. ...He will chase a cat, obsess over the cat's whereabouts so a home without one might be best.
