Story
hi! I am very saddened to have to do this but unfortunately we are needing to rehome Nugget asap. hes kennel trained, wonderful in the car and i paid quite a bit for puppy boot camp so hes good at walking on a leash and following basic commands. Hes incredibly smart, playful, sweet, sensitive, and intuative. He LOVESS belly rubs, will comfort you when youre upset and be protective if there is ever any danger. he has a very silly and strong personality which i personally love but unfortunately this is why he does not get along with our other dog. Needs to go to a home with someone that leads an active lifestyle and has a home with a good amount of space with a yard as he has a LOT of energy, so his new owner will need to have the time to give him the attention he deserves. Not sure how he is with small children but bc he is decent sized and has so much energy i would advise against it as well as other pets. will provide food, bowl, leash, bed, toys. willing to negotiate rehome fee.

Story
Meet Tyr, a sweet and shy Doberman who is looking for a loving and patient home. Abandoned and malnourished, he is still a little nervous around new people but quickly warms up to women and children. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. Tyr is very treat-motivated but isn’t a fan of kennels or being confined. He does well in the house and enjoys going in and out of a backyard. While he is only partially leash-trained, he responds well to treats and encouragement. Due to his breed and past experiences, Tyr will require an adopter with Doberman or similar breed experience. Could you be the one to give him the love and security he deserves? 🐾💕 #AdoptTyr #RescueDoberman #BreedExperienceRequired

Good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Duchess was in a small, high kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected she couldn’t open them and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears and the chronic dry eye had been untreated so long her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was so shut down initially she had to remember what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes, she gets 2 types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She’s learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She’s able to see now although not as well as we hope she can as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She just wants to totally devote herself to her human and take care of her family. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed. She is house trained, can use a doggie door or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Story
DOB: 8/1/23 Weight: approx. 65 lbs Ash is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He's looking for an active family that has lots of time to spend with him. He loves being right by his people's side and is as affectionate as they come. Ash is house and crate trained, and loves having plenty of things to chew on to keep him occupied. He has separation anxiety and wouldn't thrive in a home where his people are gone all day.  He's still young and learning his size, so Ash shouldn't be in a home with small children as he tends to get too excited and can knock them over.  If you're interested in meeting Ash, please apply online and we'll be in touch. Fee is $275 https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
