Duchess was in a small, high kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected she couldn’t open them and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears and the chronic dry eye had been untreated so long her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was so shut down initially she had to remember what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes, she gets 2 types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She’s learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She’s able to see now although not as well as we hope she can as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She just wants to totally devote herself to her human and take care of her family. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed.She is house trained, can use a doggie door or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Rocco was on the Dallas animal shelter euthanasia list he was supposedly returned twice due to him mouthing while playing but since he has been with me I have not seen any of that behavior! He was so kennel stressed that he didn't know how to lay down and sleep but now all he wants is to be pet and take naps after having the Zumiez! Rocco was starved and when he was brought to us he was skin and bones so now he tends to be a little protective over his food bones and toys! But he is so loving and just wants to be touched and pet!!

Rocky is a sweet, playful pup who loves fetch and cuddles. He had a rough start in life due to his birth defect that left his hind legs paralyzed. Despite his difficulties, he definitely knows how to enjoy life to the fullest! He doesn’t know he is any different than his foster brothers and makes friends with everyone he meets. He loves kids, cats and dogs and never meets a stranger. His hobbies include running outside in his wheelchair and playing inside in his scooter. His care usually consists of snapping him into his mobility devices and letting him go. He wears belly bands inside since his bladder control is slightly limited due to the paralysis. Luckily, aside from this he is house trained and tells you when he needs to go potty. His temperament is very calm for a puppy, though he will experience the zoomies on occasion and burn some rubber in the yard! If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Purebred European Doberman from Serbia. Born Dec 2022, just over a year old. Very energetic and requires energetic owner who likes to take walk and play with him daily. No illness or disease. Love people, very friendly and handsome and love being pet. Very funny and such a diva. We paid for his lifetime training (included with your adoption) for service dog and protection dog (worth $10,000). His e-collar training equipment and all his other equipments, toys, foods are included. We will miss him very much; unfortunately, I and my boyfriend both just started new jobs that require overtime so we want a better home for him where he can bond with his humans and have more time to enjoy the short dog life. Please if you choose to adopt him, make sure you have time and love spending time with him and training him. Willing to ship (depending on distance from Dallas, Texas)
