Harlow was born 11/17/2023 and is coming back into rescue through no fault of her own. She is well loved by her current owners, but they are not up for the exuberance of a Doberman puppy. She was raised around kids, is crate trained and housebroken. Harlow will be best in a home with experienced owners. She does know some obedience and s very smart. Harlow is melanistic Doberman, lacking some pigment.

Story
Poppy Rose is a 5 year old red and rust female Doberman with cropped (not standing) ears and a docked tail. She was surrendered to the shelter by her breeder along with two one week old puppies and another adult female and some puppies. Poppy Rose had a hard life living outside and her condition at intake (photo) speaks to that. Her foster mom named her appropriately! She has been recovering well in foster care and continues to dote on her puppies. She is heartworm negative, up to date on Baccines and spayed. Poppy was in horrible shape when she was rescued but has regrown all her coat, gained tons of confidence and blossomed. She absolutely loves children! poppy would be best with a quiet family that has working dog experience. She is not a fan of thunderstorms and she will come with her thunder shirt. She is crate trained and housebroken and has learned some basic obedience. She would be happy to hang out with you all day.

Story
Mojo is a 9-month-old Doberman Pinscher mix who’s ready to bring joy, play, and love into a forever home! 💖 With his sleek black-and-brown coat and compact, medium-sized frame, he looks just like a mini Doberman – and he's every bit as adorable as he sounds! This sweet pup had a rough start, coming to Austin Pets Alive! needing treatment for parvo. Thanks to dedicated care and his strong spirit, Mojo pulled through and is now thriving in foster care. He’s put on healthy weight, made a full recovery, and is happily playing with his three dog friends in his foster home! Mojo loves people and bonds quickly. He’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is learning the ropes of being a well-mannered pup – he already knows “sit” and is working on “down” and house training. Mojo walks nicely on leash, though he may still bark at unfamiliar dogs on walks — something he's improving on with training and support. He has medium energy and enjoys his toys, playtime, and cuddles. Mojo’s journey is a story of resilience, and now he’s ready to write his next chapter with someone who’ll continue guiding him with love and patience. Are you ready to give Mojo the happy ending he deserves? Ask about this sweetheart today! 🐾

Story
Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. With patience and understanding, Buddy has so much love and potential to share. Are you the kind soul ready to give Buddy the forever home he deserves?
