Meet Buddy – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Perfect Match! Buddy is a senior Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and a personality that shines once he feels safe. He may be shy at first and take some time to decompress, but once he’s comfortable, his sweet and gentle nature comes through. Buddy absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys their company. He is both house-trained and crate-trained—in fact, his crate is his happy place! When left alone, he prefers the security of his kennel, and even when his humans are home, he often chooses to relax there with the door open. This lovable senior does well on a leash and would thrive in a quiet, low-energy home with a patient adopter who understands that he needs time to adjust. While he hasn't been around young children, his gentle nature suggests he would be great with them. We don’t know how he is with cats, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Buddy’s favorite toys are anything soft and squishy, and he enjoys the simple comforts of companionship. He would be the perfect match for someone looking for a loving, loyal companion who doesn’t need a high-energy lifestyle. With patience and understanding, Buddy has so much love and potential to share. Are you the kind soul ready to give Buddy the forever home he deserves? Eli is new to us, so we’re currently getting to know him and are sharing helpful information provided by his previous home and the shelter. This friendly, loving pup enjoys meeting new people and has a way of making fast friends wherever he goes. Eli is housetrained and already knows commands like sit and stay, which shows how eager he is to connect and learn with his people. Treats are a favorite reward, and he’s always happy to show off his good manners when snacks are involved. Playtime is one of Eli’s favorite parts of the day. He enjoys games of fetch, going for walks, and getting his paws on squeaky toys or a good chew bone. Eli has also been playful with other dogs and got along well with another dog in the home, making him a fun companion for both people and canine friends. Above all, Eli’s best qualities are his loving heart and friendly spirit. He’s the kind of dog who enjoys being part of the action, whether that’s heading out for a walk or relaxing nearby after a day of play. If you’re looking for a friendly companion with a playful side and a lot of love to give, Eli could be a wonderful addition to your home. Meet Daisy — A Happy, Loving Girl Ready for Her Family! Daisy is a beautiful 4-year-old, 50-pound Black Mouth Cur mix with a joyful personality and so much love to give. She is great with other dogs and loves having canine friends to play with. Whether she’s running around the yard, soaking up the sunshine, or joining in on some good old-fashioned dog play, Daisy is happiest when she’s part of the fun. Daisy is also good with cats, although if a cat takes off running, she may think it’s an invitation to chase! A dog-savvy cat and proper introductions would be the best match for her playful curiosity. This affectionate girl absolutely loves attention from her people. Give her some pets and she’ll look up at you with those big, loving eyes that make it nearly impossible to stop. Daisy is also wonderful with kids of all ages and would love being part of an active family. She is potty trained and crate trained, knows the “sit” command, and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. She’ll even choose to nap in her crate on her own during the day. Daisy also enjoys car rides and is always ready to tag along on an adventure. She is still working on her leash manners and can pull when she gets excited about exploring. Her enthusiasm sometimes carries over into playtime, too—she may need a little reminder when another dog is ready for a break! Sweet, playful, affectionate, and full of personality, Daisy is ready to find a family who will love her as much as she’ll love them. Daisy is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state after adoption. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Rover – Your Next Adventure Buddy! If you're looking for a loyal sidekick to share life's adventures, Rover is ready to fill that role. This handsome 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur has an athletic spirit, a gentle heart, and so much love to give the person willing to earn his trust. Rover naturally bonds with women and can be a little cautious around men at first, so he'll need a patient adopter who will let him settle in at his own pace. Once he knows he's safe, his true personality shines. He becomes a faithful companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether you're headed out for a hike, relaxing at home, or taking a drive around town. This active boy loves playing fetch, running, exploring, and splashing in the water. Lakes, pools, sprinklers—if there's water involved, Rover is all in! He also rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and is always happy to tag along on new adventures. He is a "talker" and will delight you with his conversations. Rover loves other dogs that understand good manners. He enjoys friends who give him a little personal space at first and will quickly become their favorite play buddy. Dogs that constantly crowd him aren't his style, but respectful canine companions bring out his playful, fun-loving side. He's also lived peacefully with cats and chickens. Rover is potty trained, kennel trained, and well-mannered in the home. He could do very well in an apartment with someone who is home much of the day and committed to giving him daily exercise and enrichment. Because he can climb a 6-foot wooden privacy fence, supervised outdoor time or a very secure yard is important. Rover is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. All he's missing is someone to believe in him. Give Rover the chance he deserves, and you'll gain a loyal best friend for life. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
