Story
Hi gang, My name is Asa. I'm told it means doctor or healer. How cool is that? It is also a biblical name of a king! So I was presumed dumped. Left all alone to my own vices and terrified. When I first arrived at Lucies, all I did was cry and cry. I didn't understand what was happening to me, but I was glad to at least be in the loving care of my rescuers. I crave attention and snuggles and just basically be close to someone. It is my most favorite thing to so! I am crate and leash trained. I have a heart shaped nose that represents my personality and how much love I need and have to give. I hope to meet you and snuggle with you soon! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Hi, My name is Pal. I was found dumped with 8 of my siblings. A postal worker found us home. All NINE of us...can you believe it???!! An angel for sure! The worker was able to find homes for 7 of us, which left me and my sister. Lucies took us in and has been taking care of us ever since. They are so wonderful here! I am a bit shy, but slowly coming out of my shell. I would love to have a family of my own to love. Please ask about me. Thanks for stopping by my profile! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Story
Hey there gang! My name is Brynn. It is of Welsh origin meaning "hill". Taking to the nature-inspired character of this name, no mountain will be too big for me to conquer!!! My short, horrible past is proof of that. You see, I was dumped on a back road and left with my leash, food and a bowl. At least the horrible dumpers left me with that right?? Not!! How cruel! At some point, I was hit by a car, not sure if it was before or after I was dumped. When I was found, it was discovered that I had a number of injuries and according to the vet, I likely laid in the culvert pipe suffering for at least 2 days. Despite the amount of pain I was in, I was gentle and sweet to my rescuers. Because of the wonderful, loving treatment I received from my rescuers, vets and Lucies' staff, I am now a happy and energetic girl with good eye contact. I'm super smart too, as I have already learned to sit! I'm kid friendly and would love to have a family of my own. Won't you please consider adopting me? *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****
