Story
Meet Frito! He is a super special guy who will make an amazing family dog or adventure buddy for a couple or individual. Here is what his foster says about him: "Frito is a big love bug who adores people and other dogs, almost as much as bully sticks and snuggles on the couch! He has a calm energy and is great around kids of all sizes, but can turn it up a notch when given the chance to run at the dog park or in a big yard. He visibly smiles when running full speed or getting out his zoomies! He is fantastic in the car and loves going on adventures to the beach, the park, and the local hiking trails, but also curls up for a nap in the back seat if you take him to run errands and need to leave him in the car. He’s highly social and would probably love being in a home with other dog siblings but would be fine as an only dog too. He has yet to meet a dog at the dog park or on our walks that he didn’t like and doesn’t exhibit any “alpha male” traits. Frito could do well with a dog savvy cat as well. Our cats run away and he responds by barking. If a cat is calm, he doesn't seem to react. Of course, careful introductions are always important. He would be a great candidate for someone who can bring their dog to work and would likely be the most handsomest boy in the office! Frito is a beautiful boy on the inside and outside, and will warm the hearts of his future family.- Traits: - House trained - Knows how to sit - Waits before eating - Curious - Calm energy - Very sweet and loving - Fantastic with dogs and humans - Unsure of cats (barks at them), but fine with all other animals we see on walks.

Story
Meet Duckie! 🦆 (Yes, really.) She’s just over a year old, 100% Dogo Argentino, and 200% personality. This girl is equal parts zoomies, snuggles, and dramatic sighs when she’s not the center of attention. Duckie is crate and potty trained, loves her humans like it’s her full-time job, and has never met a dog she didn’t want to be besties with. She is working on her “overexcited toddler at a birthday party” energy—meaning she can get a little mouthy and jumpy when she's hyped up. Because of that, she'd do best in a home without young kids (unless your kids are Olympic dodgeball champions). Car rides? Meh—Duckie’s not their biggest fan (read: some car sickness), but she's learning to cope like a champ. And if you're the kind of person who loves a goofy, loyal sidekick who’ll make you laugh every day, she might just be your soulmate. If you're ready for a hilarious, high-energy best friend with a heart as big as her paws—slide into Duckie’s DMs (or, you know, adoption app). 💖

Story
Meet Cheerios! This gorgeous girl came in as a stray in not great condition, ticks all over her and what looks to be bite marks all on her legs and face, and so malnourished. Even with all that she is as sweet as can be. She is deaf but that doesn’t slow her down. She is super friendly and allows for all handling. Cheerios was great on leash and checks back in with you constantly. She also knows to come stand between your legs when wanting attention or stopped. She is gentle when taking treats, even when being so starved. She is an absolute kisser and cuddle bug and the second you let her she will sit on your lap and try and kiss you to death. She has tried to be paired with other dogs and does well until the dog is too persistent than she was shows her teeth and corrects. No biting or other bad reactions she actually gets very excited when seeing other dogs. With all that she has been through she would be best with other dogs who aren’t going to bother her excessively, some chill fursiblings. Cheerios really is such an amazing girl; smart, loving, playful, gentle, the perfect catch! Come meet her today and see for yourself!

Story
Ivy is a 8-year-old female Dogo Argentino rescued at 10 months old from Santa Cruz Animal Shelter. She has been raised around small children the majority of her life. She likes walks and hikes, tolerates jogs/runs, and will play catch. She is house trained and very well-behaved. She responds to the following commands: bed, sit, paw (both, for shakes), potty, eat (she waits until instructed to approach her bowl). She does well on a leash with both a collar and a harness, and is fine with a muzzle. She loves to have her hips, belly, and ears scratched and loves to cuddle, she's a big lover. She's happy to spend the majority of the time lounging around, but loves walks and activity. She is not a barker, but does have a loud, protective bark that she uses rarely only in appropriate situations.
