Dennis the menace was a pretty cute kid. Therefore I am cute too! I am an adult, with puppy-like exuberance for life and food! I arrived at the rescue with my wife (Dee Dee) and our kid (Donna) after being left in our backyard when our "family" moved. Can you imagine? I gave them 3 years of devotion, and they just leave me like an old newspaper..... So, enough about my sorted past, let's look at my BRIGHT FUTURE!!! I am a handsome guy, full of love for life. I love female dogs, male dogs are more challenging because I am an alpha sort of dog, with the females I am fine- even dominant females like my Dee Dee. I am a good 60lbs, I'm such a big boy who makes for great cuddles! I am a good protector of your home and my people. I won't let those pesky neighbors over, unless you invite them ;) I have lots of fun running and playing and I would be a great outdoor adventure buddy! Let's get on the trails and go! Dennis can only be adopted in the local area. Local adoption fee is $200.

Hey, There-my name is Watson but my nickname should be Mr. Playful. I LOVE everyone I meet. Person-dog-cat- whatever…I’m going to follow you around and ask for all the pets! My favorite activities include chasing a ball around the backyard and going for walks with my foster dad. I’m one of the friendliest dogs in the rescue so I always get invited to all their fun events. I’m not only a master on a leash but also do great on car rides & in my kennel. I may be playful but I know how to read a room and when to chill. We asked my foster dad for a list of things about me- he did a pretty good job! He loves to share your pillow at night (or try to take it all) He chases his tail like a tornado. Gives you little love sniffs to the face. Rolls over on top of you for belly rubs. Like to lay against your legs while napping. Peeks his head in the shower and wants to lick your wet legs. Follows you everywhere. At ALL TIMES. He gives good hugs. I can’t think of one reason that would make you not fill an application out for me unless you hate fun.

Mitzi may be the sweetest snuggle-bug we’ve ever fostered. She wants to be a lap dog, a spooner in bed, and by your side constantly! Mitzi was 8 months old when she was found stray near Forest City Arkansas. A few weeks later Mitzi was a momma of 9 absolutely adorable pups Even though she was a pup herself Mitzi was an amazing momma All of her pups have been adopted Mitzi was then spayed and also treated for heartworm She’s strong, and recovered wonderfully from all! Through it all Mitzi is still a puppy herself Under 2 years old, she loves to play with big energy Her besties are big male dogs. She loves to find big boys who like to wrestle and chase. She’s also amazing with puppies as she’s still a puppy herself! When Mitzi is not playing she’s at your feet or on your lap She wants to be by a person as much as possible Can’t get enough love and petting and snuggling. At the same time she’s fine when left in a bedroom alone or crate alone She’s amazing in car rides and will go everywhere with you if you let her! She has not been tested with cats but hasn’t shown any issues with puppies of all sizes. Mitzi has had extensive training with the “stop” command. This was required because she has had dog reactivity issues while being walked. She now walks by the side with a very loose lead. Very seldom does she fixate on other dogs. If she looks a little longer than desired just say “stop”. She does not play in open play at dog daycare, but she does go to a dog daycare with foster-dad several times a week to continue to prove she can be calm when lots of different dogs of different energy walk in and out. She’s also been trained with other high-energy, reactive dogs and has been the pride of the class in terms of not reacting to their energy and impulses. The “stop” command has also come in handy with any unwanted barking, or whining, or tugging, or when people come in the house. She’s super aware that stop means stop. Mitzi spent over 8 months with a family who cares for a pack of dogs and puppies She can get along with everyone. Some dogs (mostly female), however, are not fans of her big energy bursts. Mitzi does not always take corrections well from female dogs who are not alpha - she will scuffle if corrected by a non-alpha female. It’s best if she’s adopted into a male-dog, or no-dog family. The person who adopts Mitzi will enjoy an absolutely adorable and sweet pup as long as they continue with very simple reenforcing of the training she’s been given. Mitzi is a perfect match for someone who loves to cuddle with their fur baby, and also a person who is willing to be the alpha for her - giving her lots of calm direction and love. Once adopted Mitzi will travel via private transport to a location closest to you (transport fee is $150.00).
