Evita may only have three legs, but she doesn’t let that slow her down! This sweet and special girl is full of love and determination, and she’s ready to find her forever family. She’s a happy, playful, and cuddly pup who loves attention and thrives on human companionship. Evita is smart, friendly, and eager to please — plus she’s crate-trained and doing wonderfully with house training. While she’s still building her endurance on walks, she enjoys getting outside and is learning how to navigate the world on three legs. She’ll need a little patience and encouragement when she gets tired, but her progress and spirit will inspire you every day. She’s curious and social but can be timid around new people and pets at first, so a gentle introduction works best. Once she warms up, her affectionate nature shines through and she loves to cuddle. The face of an angel. Malala doesn’t need any frills to catch attention. She’s cute in pictures but real life is even better. Malala does a little hop trot when she is excited and often rocks the stuck lip look. Precious we know! Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog. It`s easy to see why Remi was a shelter favorite and why staff and volunteers fought so hard for her to make it to safety with a rescue. Her AHF foster mom reports she is the sweetest girl and has great house manners. 4-year-old, 40 lb. Remi is wonderful with other dogs and cats (she lives with both in her foster home). She loves all people and is good with kids. If you`re looking for a cuddler, Remi`s great at cuddling and will snooze happily next to you. She`s already potty trained and crate trained!
