Meet this incredible survivor! Found in Tipton County, this sweet boy was skin and bones, hairless, and overlooked by so many. We couldn’t leave him behind, and he’s come so far—from 17 to 36 lbs! With love, warmth, and plenty of food, his personality has blossomed. He adores other dogs, all people, his crate, and especially toys and sweaters. He’s house-trained, food-motivated, and ready for his forever home. Could it be with you? Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Story
Wobble has a condition known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a neurological disease that is usually seen in puppies from birth. This occurs when the cerebellum, a part of the brain, doesn't form properly while the puppy is growing from the womb. Here is an article talking more about Cerebellar Hypoplasia as well as answers some additional questions. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/cerebellar-hypoplasia-in-dogs/?fbclid=IwY2xjawGTIpRleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHXK0TxonL8Kv-M6r8jQOHJDfogSXUxU-f4LiFBelW79SfYjc8CymTCMlNQ_aem_MowV19iioZ7E6T2EMf97yg Wobble has truly grown up in rescue. We saved Wobble along with his 8 siblings when he was 7-8 weeks old and his first birthday has come and gone. He is so loved in his foster home but we all would love nothing more than for him to find his forever home. Wobble has done so much learning and this is where he is at so far: - He is potty trained but when moving to a forever home will need time to adjust to a new environment and schedule. - He is able to eat and drink on his own. However, he does prefer to eat in his kennel. - He enjoys play time with other dogs and toys. He is a cuddly bug whether it be with his humans or his dog foster siblings. He enjoys having his fur siblings so much however he doesn’t need a dog. What he would need is someone to continue socializing him as she his body language is a bit different than the average dog, his dog friends do tend to take a little bit to get used to him before realizing he is all friend. - He does well in his kennel! He does give you an exciting welcome home but sleeps through the night and relaxes in the day with no problem if no one is home. Wobble's adoption radius has been opened outside of our normal within 3 hours of Chicago. With that being said if selected you are still responsible for meeting in Chicago to meet and finalize as we do not transport. If you are interested in being considered his forever home, apply directly. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org. Wobble's adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccines, up to date on preventatives, deworming, neuter and microchip.

Story
Phineas our handsome gentleman with ears that could rival any floppy-eared dog celebrity. While he might take a little time to warm up (he’s got to get to know you first!), once he does, you’ll be charmed by his calm demeanor and playful side. He’s the kind of dog who loves to chill, but when the mood strikes, he’ll bring out his goofy, fun-loving personality. Phineas would thrive in an adult-only home where he’s the one and only dog, with an experienced handler who understands that he may need a little time to settle in. Once he’s comfortable, he’ll give you all the loyalty and love you can handle, and maybe even a few floppy-ear wiggles! If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow guy who’s got a playful side and plenty of love to give, Phineas could be your perfect match. With a little patience and guidance, he’s ready to be your new best friend!

*** To alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society`s physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. *** Ambrosia was adopted from the CACC in Chicago appx 5 years ago and she was about 3-4 then. She was playing with this huge dog bigger than her having a great day and I just saw her and fell in love. Ambrosia comes from a previously abusive environment. When I adopted her it took a lot of trust. To pet her she needs to see your hand first and maybe let her come to you for the first few weeks. She doesn`t like walking through tight spaces or walkways/hallways that she cant see a straight path down. She doesn`t like things like brooms or anything blocking her path. She is house potty trained with a new home she may need some basic training again for new routine. She likes being outside, laying in the sun and she enjoys her alone time. She`s older so play time is not a long, long time with her compared to BabyBoy. She is extremely loving just remember she has come from an abusive past so yelling loud noises sometimes scare her especially fireworks. She does not like being left alone in a car for any long period of time like past 5-10 mins. She is ok with road trips for hours. She does not really get along with dogs that are smaller than her because of the sound of their bark. She gets along with most other dogs as long as she feels comfortable . Show her your hand and sit with her for a while and you will earn her love and respect very fast. She likes treats. Her teeth I`m working on getting cleaned. She does not like showers but she will deal with them. I take her to Pet`smart for nail grinding NOT cut. Her nails are clear and most groomers cut her too close to her blood vessels so just a normal grind and she may need to be muzzled for that part so please inform the groomer and inform them of the hand first before petting. She doesn`t like cats. She knows how to play and lick hands and not bite she does sometimes have to be told no biting and she will know to look for your hand to

He’s super friendly with people and happy to soak up affection from anyone willing to give it.While he adores humans, Greedo hasn’t been his best self around other dogs, so he’d thrive as the one and only pup in the home—your loyal sidekick, your snuggle buddy, your peaceful little shadow. We truly can’t rave enough about how easygoing, sweet, and lovable this guy is.If you’re ready for the ultimate chill companion, Greedo is ready to meet you!

She is kid friendly (we have met kids on our walks, and she seems very happy to meet a little person) and dog selective. She needs time to warm up to a dog before she can relax. She loves all people and would thrive in a home with a couple or family. She is medium energy, spayed, fully vaccinated, 45 pounds and 4 years old!She adores being outside on walks or chasing her ball (her tail won’t stop wagging), but she also is content snoozing on a couch and following her human around the house. She is very house trained and non-destructive. Not cat (or squirrel) friendly but is a mega love bug to anyone else in her life. She really thrives mostly off human attention! She would do best in a home with two or more people, so that she has people to hang out with. Minnie came to me at 36 pounds with pneumonia and several wounds on her head. She clearly has had a rough life, but she has blossomed into a healthy, loving dog. Other than some anxiety, she now does not have any health issues. She has also done a lot of positive reinforcement work with a personal trainer, and she would love to continue that with someone else. She will make someone very happy! Please reach out to mclowse@gmail.com for more information.
