I came to my foster family from a really dark place, but I’ve quickly learned that I’m worth the world and then some. In my first two days I learned how to go in and out the front door, down some steps, and how to walk on the green stuff called grass. What’s super cool is I’ve adapted well to walking on a leash and walking with my foster brother, Skip. My mama says I eat like a champ and drink water like a fish. I really like playing with my foster brother, Skip. We wrestle and play chase! I like to stay close to my humans, even the tiny 3 year old. I’m very curious about the resident cat, but mama says I show that I’m a little afraid of it. I am working on potty training, and I’m already telling my people when I need to go outside! I am feeling safe in my kennel, but I need a little night light so I don’t get too scared. I’m am learning how to be a dog by practicing walking on a leash, having time in the kennel and going potty outside (no accidents in the house so far!). Right now, I only feel comfortable eating in my kennel and not sure about treats yet. I am timid and still get spooked when new surroundings or noises catch me off guard. I recently moved to Minnesota five days ago, along with a couple of other dudes at MNBR, and let me tell you... I had no idea the world could smell so interesting! My foster family says I am just a sweet little angel who just doesn't know how to be a dog. I'm very unsure of what's going on, so I have to keep a close eye on things. Everyone says I'm very curious but serious. I'm busy studying everything! I love smelling everything, but sometimes I forget to use my manners, and I stick my nose where it doesn't belong. (I'm told the candles on mom's desk are really not that interesting, but they sure smell good!)   I don't lick people, but I like to give affectionate sniffs. The little humans find this especially amusing. Because I'm so shy, my foster humans have been good about being really chill around me - a lot of things make me nervous - new people, new foods... it's a lot to take in! My foster family is impressed that for being so fearful of so many things, I'm extremely calm - even the doorbell doesn't scare me....at least that’s what I think it's called. Curiosity always gets the best of me so I tend to get a little mischievous.    I've been at a puppy mill my whole life so I don't understand this peanut butter business. Chicken, yes. Ear scratches, heck yes. But treats aren't necessary, just keep telling me what a good girl I am - I've never heard those words before, but I'm getting a lot of warm fuzzies from them.
