His birthday is around June of 2020, a pandemic puppy! He came to rescue over two years ago with his deaf sister, Amara.. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Angus knows " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, he reads from his foster mom's body language. Angus loves to play outside with his sister and smell all the smells. He loves to have toys so much that he'lloften race inside so he can gather up all the toys (especially from his sister's kennel before we notices) and hoard them in his kennel. He has a wonderful relationship with Amara, his sister. It would be nice if they were adopted them together but it's not required. We ask that he be the only other animal in the home, except for his sister, just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". Angus does not have a mean bone in his body but he's a bit of a bull in a China shop kind of boy! He just likes to run fast and slide through his turns! A fenced in yard is required so Angus can be free to explore and smell all the smells. This boy will steal your heart the minute you meet him. Be still my heart, Amara is a big, sweet, loving, Deaf Dogo Argentino. She's a Pandemic Puppy with a birthday around June, 2020. Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. When he first arrived, he wasn’t so sure about this whole “humans” thing — but now he trots over when you call his name, plops himself at your feet like a polite little gentleman, and waits patiently to be scooped up for snuggles. He is, in short, the world’s tiniest Southern gentleman trapped in a Minnesota puppy body. His two bold sisters boss him around like tiny tornadoes, but Beau takes it in stride. He’s a gentle soul who’d rather trot through a pile of leaves, find the perfect stick, and declare himself King of Autumn. If leaf piles were a sport, Beau would be the reigning champion, gold medalist, and undefeated title holder. He loves playing with his golden retriever foster sibling, enjoys gentle belly rubs, and is happy to curl up in your lap once his little adventurer heart is tired out.
