Adoption Fee: $ 450 Fee Includes: Current vaccinations, microchip If you want to be considered for adoption, fill out an application at emotionalrescuedogs.org ANGUS is a big, sweet, loving Dogo Argentina. His birthday is around June of 2020, a pandemic puppy! He came to rescue over two years ago with his deaf sister, Amara.. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Angus knows " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, he reads from his foster mom's body language. Angus loves to play outside with his sister and smell all the smells. He loves to have toys so much that he'lloften race inside so he can gather up all the toys (especially from his sister's kennel before we notices) and hoard them in his kennel. He has a wonderful relationship with Amara, his sister. It would be nice if they were adopted them together but it's not required. We ask that he be the only other animal in the home, except for his sister, just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". Angus does not have a mean bone in his body but he's a bit of a bull in a China shop kind of boy! He just likes to run fast and slide through his turns! A fenced in yard is required so Angus can be free to explore and smell all the smells. This boy will steal your heart the minute you meet him. He's always happy and greets you with a smile on his face. ##1971033##

Adoption Fee: $ 450 Fee Includes: Current vaccinations, microchip If you want to be considered for adoption, fill out an application at emotionalrescuedogs.org Amara has been in Rescue for two and a half YEARS, looking for her special family! Be still my heart, Amara is a big, sweet, loving, Deaf Dogo Argentino. She's a Pandemic Puppy with a birthday around June, 2020. She came to rescue over two and a half years ago with her deaf brother after they were dumped by their owner. They had each other but didn't know that humans could communicate with them. Seeing the light bulb come on has been so fun! Amara knows sign language for " Come, Kennel Up, and Sit" but everything else, she reads from her foster mom's body language. She is happy to please and leans in for love! Amara loves to go for car rides, play outside with her brother and smell all the smells. She likes to have toys too. So many toys! She has a wonderful relationship with Angus, her brother. We would love to see them adopted together but that isn't mandatory. We recommend that she be the only other animal in the home (except for her brother), just because there's a learning curve for other animals about how to make their presence known so deaf dogs aren't "snuck up on". This big girl is a cuddler. When she's all snuggled in, she has the sweetest snore. Once she is adopted and settles in, you'll wonder how you ever survived without her. She's the missing piece of the puzzle your life needs. A fenced in yard is required so Amara can be free to explore and smell all the smells and explore to her heart's content without needing to keep you in sight so she can "hear" you. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hobbies: Sunbathing, snacking, and surprising everyone with her newfound zest for life.   Cammy is in her  “retired but thriving”  era — the Golden Girl of the group who’s discovered that naps are great, but playtime with friends might be even better!   Once a quiet observer, Cammy has blossomed into a social butterfly (well… maybe more of a cozy golden bumblebee ). She now happily snuggles up with her 14 dog friends and joins in on the fun when the mood strikes — from gentle wrestling matches to wiggly tail wags that could melt your heart.   She still appreciates a soft bed, a warm patch of sunlight, and a steady supply of snacks, but she’s also learned that life’s even better when you share it with your pack.   Cammy’s the total package — mellow, loving, and delightfully playful in her golden years. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance best friend who can keep you company for naps  and  bring a little joy to your day, Cammy’s your girl.    Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Beau is the shy little gentleman of his litter, a 11-pound sweetheart who’s quietly collecting confidence one tiny victory at a time. When he first arrived, he wasn’t so sure about this whole “humans” thing — but now he trots over when you call his name, plops himself at your feet like a polite little gentleman, and waits patiently to be scooped up for snuggles. He is, in short, the world’s tiniest Southern gentleman trapped in a Minnesota puppy body. His two bold sisters boss him around like tiny tornadoes, but Beau takes it in stride. He’s a gentle soul who’d rather trot through a pile of leaves, find the perfect stick, and declare himself King of Autumn. If leaf piles were a sport, Beau would be the reigning champion, gold medalist, and undefeated title holder. He loves playing with his golden retriever foster sibling, enjoys gentle belly rubs, and is happy to curl up in your lap once his little adventurer heart is tired out. He’s crate trained, great with dogs, kids, and even cats, and has a sweet, goofy charm that sneaks up on you until suddenly… you’re smitten. Beau is still working on potty training and hasn’t started leash practice yet, so a fenced yard is best while he’s learning the ropes, or a home committed to teaching him! But he’s smart, eager to please, and full of quiet determination — the kind that makes you cheer for him when he masters something new. If you’re looking for a soft, snuggly, leaf-obsessed little buddy who will love you with his whole tiny heart, Beau is ready to be your gentle little shadow. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.   Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward.
