Story
Josie, JLo, JoJo and Bubba are 4 very lucky puppies. These puppies were found with their mom and 1 other sibling on a back country road in a very rural town. They were starving, covered in fleas and ticks, dehydrated and had been out in that area for goodness knows how long. When a good Samaritan saw them, she did her best to get all 5 pups and mom, but only 4 pups came to her. The volunteer has since gone out every day after to check, and it seems like mom and the 5th pup have disappeared despite leaving food and water out for them ☹ The volunteer was able to save 4 of the pups – And now, they are loving being inside animals and getting to run around in a yard, having access to food, water, shelter, and lots of love. Mom appeared to be a beautiful white lab/pyreneese/dogo/pointer mix that weighed approximately 60 lbs. The volunteer did not see a dad, so we are unsure of that breed. We think they could weigh between 45-65 lbs once full grown, depending. Josie, Jlo and Bubba have an extra toe on their back feet, which leads us to believe they are great pyreneese mix. Bubba has golden spotted specks on the bottom of his ears and JoJo has the black spots which also could be signs of pointer. We estimate they are around 4 months (so born around March 26, 2024) All 4 pups have their own quirks – They all are very sweet pups with a lot of personality. They all love the water and would make wonderful companions to go to lakes, oceans, rivers or just have a pool in the backyard to play in. They are all kenneled at night and are doing wonderful not using the restroom during the night. They get free roam of the house from 530am-10am and then 530pm-11pm. They are kenneled during the day and do wonderful during that time not having accidents. The foster does have cats, but her cats are not friendly and do not like dogs, so they haven't been that nice to the puppies. The foster does think if with dog friendly cat(s), they would do great with time and training. The foster wrote this about the puppies: Bubba – loves being outside. He is more shy than the others and kind of hangs back to himself, while the others play and run around. He is more of a watcher. He likes more quiet time and relaxing. Very food motivated. Gentle and kind natured. Loves other dogs and when he is around his siblings or personal dogs, will play like crazy. Lacks confidence so another dog in the home or somebody who is home more often and can help with confidence is a must. Bubba is an old, sweet soul. With some training, he will be a loyal best friend. Josie – She acts like a tough girl, but she is very much a follower, not a leader. She does stand up for herself when her siblings pick on her. Loves attention from my older dogs because they don’t pick on her. Likes digging holes to lay in and cool down since its been so hot. Would be over the moon to have a toy chest and she is obsessed with toys and playing with them. She can easily entertain herself. She is a bit shy but likes attention from humans and other dogs. She loves playing with other dogs and being around them, another one in the household would benefit her. She also likes to talk to you when she wants something, whether it’s dinner or to let you know she wants you to throw the ball. Jlo – One of the most social, outgoing and fun ones of the bunch. Super sweet and gentle. She thrives to please her humans and she is obsessed with getting lots of attention and love from her humans. She is playful with or without dogs around and is very entertaining. Her favorite spot to sleep is under the bed. If she can, she will climb on whatever she is able to. She loves to watch everything from a taller height. Jlo is the smartest one of the bunch and is a quick learner. JoJo – More of a leader than a follower. She is the first to try things and the first one to run up to you when they see you coming. She is as obsessed with human attention as JLo is, if not more. She loves to please her humans. Very adventurous – would do best in a home that likes to take their dog out to play often and go on adventures and explore. Very curious girl. Loves to play with her humans and other dogs. Gets along with all dogs. She will whine when you’re sitting there and not petting her to try and get your attention. Also, very smart and a quick learner. Would make a loyal companion. Story
Hey there, I'm Kane, a gentle giant in search of my forever family! I'm not just any dog - I'm a proud Dogo Argentino weighing in at a solid 115 pounds. But don't let my size intimidate you; I'm all about love and affection. I thrive on cuddles, belly rubs, and being your loyal companion. While I prefer to be the only pet in the home (because let's face it, I like having all the attention!), I absolutely adore kids. They're like my built-in playmates, and I'm always up for some fun and games! Now, here's the thing: I'm still figuring out just how big I really am. Sometimes I forget and try to fit into spaces meant for smaller pups! But that just adds to my charm, right? I'm also a big fan of outdoor adventures. There's nothing better than exploring new sights and smells with my favorite humans by my side. If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who enjoys the great outdoors as much as I do, then I think we could be a perfect match. Let's meet up and see if we click. I promise to bring joy, laughter, and endless affection into your home. Are you ready to make me a part of your family? The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, PA Kennel License #02941, 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

Story
Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors.  She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training. Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through.  She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). Adopters are often turned off by the fact that she will require multiple meets to learn its ok to trust you. Will anybody take the time to love Lucy..? If you’d be interested in meeting Lucy, please fill out an application and be sure to mention her name!July 26, 2024, 8:27 pm

Story
Meet Violet Beauregarde Lonestar, a 6.5-year-old, 60-pound bundle of energy! Saved from a Texas shelter with minutes to spare, this beautiful girl is eager to find her forever home. She would thrive with active owners who can match her energy level, and although she's good with dogs, she appreciates canine friends who mind their manners. Violet loves a good game of fetch and will spend hours in our kiddie pools if we let her.  Violet is excellent in the car and a superb walking companion; she even enjoys a good run with her volunteer friends. She is sweet and cuddly but sometimes prone to over-excitement, so she would do best in a home with older children, if any. An owner with some dog experience, who can provide structure, rules, and a quiet home will be her perfect match. Since she can become protective of her people and space, she may need to be put away when guests come over, but she's perfectly fine with that! Ready to give Violet Beauregarde Lonestar the loving environment she deserves? Fill out a canine application and mention her name!July 26, 2024, 8:27 pm

Story
SeaBiscuit here, looking to sail away to a good home! I narrowly escaped being euthanized for space at an overcrowded shelter but a kind family saw my photo and decided to foster me. Sea is 2-3 years old and 62lbs. My fosters say I just melt into them and can’t get enough cuddling and snuggling. I am good with their teenage daughter and love her so much. I am friendly, playful, fun, know sit, give kisses, affectionate. I am house trained and crate trained. I know sit, lay down commands and I am working on touch, focus, turn, and stay commands. What else do you need to know? I was going to put this message in a bottle but people tell me the internet is faster. So, please consider me, SeaBiscuit and allow me to sail into your home and heart!
