Story
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! Meet Freya, a purebred Dogo Argentino, ~1 year old, 70lbs and still growing! Freya came to our rescue from a high kill shelter in CA with her brother Kane. We are looking for Dogo or Mastiff experienced homes, and would love to place them together if possible! Freya is a loving, sweet and playful girl. She is the more confident one out of the two, and enjoys meeting people and new dogs. She would love a home where her people can continue basic obedience and building confidence! She walks great on leash and is food motivated. We would love a home with another dog or ideally for her and her brother to be adopted as a pair. She is definitely more confident with him/another dog around. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard to roam and play. No apartments. She is not tested with cats or kids, but we think older kids would be fine. Freya is spayed, UTD on shots and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $650.

Story
Sierra is a new intake and we are learning more about her and we will update more later. She is fully deaf and would need a home that is experenced with dogos and/or deaf dogs. If the home has other dogs they would need to be super friendly and able to tolerate a deaf dog that cannot hear cues during play. If you would like to learn more about deaf dogs and how they make wonderful pets please visit deafdogsrock.com for information! Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new families really understand the needs of a dogo! Story
Dennis the menace was a pretty cute kid. Therefore I am cute too! I am an adult, with puppy-like exuberance for life and food! I arrived at the rescue with my wife (Dee Dee) and our kid (Donna) after being left in our backyard when our "family" moved. Can you imagine? I gave them 3 years of devotion, and they just leave me like an old newspaper..... So, enough about my sorted past, let's look at my BRIGHT FUTURE!!! I am a handsome guy, full of love for life. I love female dogs, male dogs are more challenging because I am an alpha sort of dog, with the females I am fine- even dominant females like my Dee Dee. I am a good 60lbs, I'm such a big boy who makes for great cuddles! I am a good protector of your home and my people. I won't let those pesky neighbors over, unless you invite them ;) I have lots of fun running and playing and I would be a great outdoor adventure buddy! Let's get on the trails and go! Dennis can only be adopted in the local area. Local adoption fee is $200.

These pups are in Woodinville, Washington too!

Story
came in with FaithBiggie 10 yo male Boxer Lab Mix 75 pounds Only Dog Dog Savvy Older Kid Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Everett, WA Hi, my name is Biggie, I’m pretty relaxed, love to quietly play with my stuffed animals. I love to give kisses, go on walks and cuddle in bed. I really don't care to be completely alone so a person who is home more often than not would be my favorite. My dirty little secret is that I would really like to get to know rabbits and squirrels up close and personal. I mean they are moving pretty quick and I want to know WHY!?! What’s the rush anyway? I am a mellow dude 99% of the time, so can you really blame me for being curious about things that move fast and smell yummy? I enjoy other dogs from a distance, yet they are too busy for my personal taste and am too old to be jumped on like a teenager. I like people, although no over the top petting for me please, it feels weird, my chin is a better scratch spot, and I don't see 2 legged people greeting each other like that, so why me? Stuffies are great, I like meals and snacks although my foster pops says I could use a bit less enjoyment on the food, sheesh, kind of a drag. If you are interested in a happy go lucky mellow fur kid who loves to love, then consider Biggies as a dude for you! Please apply today at: https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt him, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this handsome boy, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue September 29, 2023, 11:34 pm

Gabby 9 yo female Fawn  60 pounds ONLY DOG - NO CATS Loves her Peeps Bark Guards if Afraid Doesn't Care for Socializing No Crate - Fine when out Slow Intro to new things Fostered in Portland, OR Gabby needs her forever HUMAN friend/family. Just look into her eyes. The sweetest face. How can you refuse? She has been waiting for a we bit, patiently, pretending like her feelings are not hurt. Eagerly waiting for the family that’s meant to be. She hates to admit it but prefers to be your one and only - the apple of your eye. Don’t let Gabby’s age fool you. She’s 9 years old but young at heart and can talk you into a game of chase over and over. Gabby loves to be chased. Gabby loves car rides and enjoys going where her people go but can often be triggered to over react when seeing new animals. With stern, consistent leadership from her human(s), she can overcome and control herself. She likes playing fetch, tug, zoomies in the yard with her people, enjoys pup cones, treats, puzzles, and loves to cuddle up in your lap to watch tv and nap with you. And she gives the best soft gentle kisses. Gabby needs a loving leader who is willing to love her and truly invest in being loyal to her as she will to her forever human. Gabby will need stern and deliberate instructions, reinforcement, along with consistent increments to new activities to allow her to build confidence and feel the love, trust and respect you both will mutually earn with one another. Are you ready to build an amazing bond with this loyal and loving lady?   Apply today for Gabby at:  https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this pretty girl, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue September 29, 2023, 11:34 pm

Story
Bubba 2 yo male Boxer/Pug/AST Requires another dog in home Learning to walk on leash Not fond of the crate Fostered in Camas, WA Hello, my name is Bubba.  I can't remember much about my early life, but I do remember being lost, on my own to fend for myself for months.  Some great people finally caught me and sent me to NW Boxer Rescue where I could begin the long journey of learning to trust people, and learn how to just be a dog. According to my DNA test, I am quite the mix.  Boxer, Pug and American Staffordshire Terrier.  It took me a few days to warm up to the humans in my foster home, but now I follow my foster Momma everywhere.  My most favorite thing though is my foster brother and sister.  I have learned so much from them, and they make me feel safe.  For this reason I do require another dog in the home.  I had a rough start in life, so I need a home where my humans are very patient and will take the time to teach me that I have nothing to fear. From Bubba's foster Mom:  The ideal family would consist of experienced dog owener/trainer who already have a pack of dogs who are patient, energetic and don’t mind playing with a goofy, uncoordinated dog with poorly developed social skills. He’s a sweetheart who wants lots of love, but he needs to be active and needs to be watched until he learns some manners. He needs someone patient who can wait through his first week or so until he’s trusting enough to relax.   If you would like to adopt him, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this handsome boy, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue September 29, 2023, 11:34 pm
