Forever home or foster needed. Say hello to Zen! He is a 2-year-old, 92lb Dogo Argentino. He came to us as a stray from CA and is a little underweight. His ideal weight is 100-105, so he is a big boy! Zen is a loving and sweet pup and will thrive in the right home. He is happy and energetic and will make a great companion for an active and structured home. He loves pets, treats and hanging with his people! We are looking for Dogo or like-breed experienced adopter as he is very strong and does need some training support. He is a big puppy and will need a family that will continue basic obedience. He can get excited and is learning not to jump up. He is very treat motivated and is smart, he will learn quickly with a committed adopter! Zen has been great with all the people he has met in our rescue so far. He can do well with other dogs and will do well in a home that can continue proper socializing. Zen is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Right now he’s in the early stages of puppyhood — which basically means life is one big exciting experiment involving toys, zoomies, snacks, and investigating absolutely everything. Lubbock can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but don’t worry — he has one very effective weakness: treats. Offer a snack and suddenly you’re upgraded to “trusted human” status. Being very food motivated means he’s also going to be a rock star student when it comes to training. One thing Lubbock is already very confident about? Dogs are awesome. He absolutely loves other dogs and will need a home with a friendly, confident canine sibling to help guide him and continue building his confidence. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos.
