Our cats are available for adoption when they have been spayed or neutered.  Please call the shelter at 513-753-9252 for further information on any of the ones you may be interested in and to make sure the cat is at the shelter or at the Petsmart in Eastgate.  You can visit them at the shelter and can place a hold on the one you want by placing a deposit down on him/her.

Gertie is the most majestic, long-haired sweet soul who carries herself with such serenity. She has weathered some of the hardest storms. Found abandoned outside in the cold and covered in matted tangles to the skin, she is a living testament to resilience.   We think that sweet Gertie did not have an easy start. For a long time, she was probably a ghost in her own life, overlooked and left to fend for herself in a world that felt cold and indifferent. When she first came to us, that beautiful fur was dirty and completely tangled to the point some of it had to be cut out. Yet, despite everything she has been through, Gertie has refused to let the world harden her heart. She does not demand attention; instead, she sits quietly and watches it all with her big green eyes, hoping against hope that someone will finally look at her and truly see her, and give her the chance at a home she is so deserving of.   We all thought Gertie would get adopted, quick, because of her softness, but that is ultimately what is keeping her here. You see, from the very start since coming to us, Gertie has been the living embodiment of soft. Her fur, her purrs, her chirps, her headbuts, even the way she eats is all soft. She is so quiet, she she is walked right past at events. She doesn't meow, she won't paw at you, and she won't demand attention. She sits quietly and waits for you to come to her. Gertie needs some time to adjust to a new enviornment, but once she knows she is safe, she will take soft, slow, hesitant steps forward toward your hand for love. In that single, quiet moment, you will feel the profound weight of a soft heart that is choosing you.   Gertie is looking for a gentle, quiet sanctuary where she can finally let her guard down completely and would do best in a quiet home as your only cat. You can also meet Gertie at our weekly adoption event every Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and we require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. We will not send cats to homes where they will be declawed as it is a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
