Story
Meet Ziploc, a very sweet and quiet girl. She is looking for a home where she can stay indoors only. She isn't good with cats, but seems ok with calm dogs and respectful kids. She loves looking out windows, sitting up high in cat trees, and lots of catnip toys. Ziploc is on Purina Proplan Veterinary Diets EN dry and wet food for a very sensitive stomach and will most likely have to stay on this food for life. Ziploc is also unfortunately declawed which can cause discomfort and arthritis in cats. If you are interested in adopting Ziploc, please stop by to see her.

Story
Alvin is a charming, long-haired, brown tabby who will be pleased to meet you! He is 7 years old and came to HART in the Spring of 2023 when his guardians unfortunately could no longer provide care for him. Although he is selective about which other cats he is willing to hang out with, he is doing well living with his feline roommates at the shelter. With a slow and gradual introduction, we believe he could live in a home with other friendly cats and even a laid-back, cat-savvy dog.Alvin has a history of bladder stones and previously had surgery to remove them. In order to maintain his urinary health, he requires a wet-only diet, and we strongly recommend that he eat prescription urinary health formula wet food (We will send him home with a sample.). Alvin recently had a flare-up of chin acne that has healed up nicely. Since he can be nervous and reactive in stressful situations, our Medical Team has placed Alvin on medication to help him cope with the stress of living in a shelter environment. He would do best in a calm, low-key household without young children. His adoptive family will need to be committed to providing him with the necessary dietary care and regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his condition in order to ensure his health long-term. We will require that his adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. Our Adoption Team will review Alvin's specific needs with you prior to his adoption.Alvin may require a little extra care, but this loving boy is so worth it, and he will reward you with a lifetime of love and cuddles. Submit an application and come in to meet Alvin in Room 4.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Meet Marble!Don't let his resting grump face fool you; he's actually a pretty mellow guy! He enjoys the simple things in life, from food to watching out his window. He enjoys gentle attention and slow movements; Marble was originally a stray so we don't know if he has previously been around other animals. Fast and loud noises do scare him, so a home without young children would be best!Interested in this handsome floof? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Meet Kitten! He's not a kitten, but he is handsome! He's vocal and enjoys hissing; that is just how he gets attention. Yes, it's weird. He LOVES cheek scratches and will gladly throw himself into them! Kitten can be a bit shy to warm up, he's on the more timid/laid back side, and enjoys his space. KVHS believes he'd do best in a home with children over the age of 5, and ones who respect his boundaries! Kittens previous owner said that he does well with other animals!Important note:Kitten is on a prescription C/D diet, this helps prevent crystals from forming in his urine, which could lead to blockages. He MUST remain on this diet, that you can get through your vet. He has blocked previously and had surgery! This dude should go to a home with someone who has a consistent vet/a good relationship with their vet.Interested or any questions about Kitten? Swing on down or give us a call!

Meet Baymax! He might be a little timid at first, and he does take time to warm up, but once you befriend him he's a sweet, mellow, and quiet guy! We believe Baymax would do well with more social/outgoing kitty to follow around; he has previously lived with cats! We do not know how he with dogs, though. Baymax would love his home to have older children who understand shy cats/respect his boundaries!Interested in Baymax? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours!

Story
Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly injured leg and Critter Cavalry Rescue fixed him up and boy was he worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has healed so nicely and a dreamy, friendly,  snuggly boy ever since we picked him up from the vet’s office. He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please! What a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt one, nor has he even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such a gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 15, 2024, 7:58 pm
