Story
We are so excited to show off our newest young male kitten, Gorgeous Gus.   What a stunning long haired boy he is at just 6 months of age and nothing but a real sweetheart of a cat.   Gus is very shy with people and he loves to play with other cats and kittens. Gorgeous Gus enjoys sunning himself in the window and learning all about the world that is passing by his house.   He is going to l need some patience and  to be worked with and given time to come out of his shell. We don’t know what happened in his early kitten days but Gus gets along with other cats, kittens, puppies and dogs. He is shy around children and adults but he is a very playful kitten with other cats.  We know that he will soon learn how to be confident and trust the people in his life that are calm and caring.   If you would like to make Gorgeous Gus a project of love and trust then write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  Help Gus find his confidence and forever love.  Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 8, 2023, 9:38 am

Story
Trudy is in search of her forever home. Sweet Trudy was abandoned with her sister and has made remarkable progress in the manners department since being with us. She is approximately 2.5 years old and is the poster child for “tortitude” with her big personality. She loves intensely and will swat you when you stop petting her. She enjoys helping fold laundry and keeping your legs warm at night. She would do best as an only cat. Older kids ok and she does well with the 13 year old husky. If interested in giving Trudy her forever home and adding “toritude” to your life, contact Cindy at cmm283@yahoo.com.

Story
*FIV Positive* Greetings, I'm Pitous, and I found my way to CAHS when my loving owner faced difficulties caring for me. Allow me to introduce myself to you. I'm a stunning, large Mainecoon cat mix with a penchant for seeking attention and affection. My days are filled with joy when I'm playing with toys, chasing after bugs, or simply relaxing on the couch and gazing out the window. In my previous home, I had the freedom to roam indoors and outdoors, but during a recent vet examination, it was discovered that I am Feline Immunodeficiency Virus positive (FIV+). This means I should now live indoors as the sole feline in the home to ensure my continued well-being. Don't worry, though - FIV-positive cats like me can lead long and wonderful lives with the right care and love. For my ideal home, I would thrive best in an adult-only environment without dogs, where I can receive all the love and attention I crave. If you're ready to provide a loving home for a special cat like me and embark on this journey together, please come meet me soon. Let's start a new chapter of love and companionship!

Suki - Female DOB 4/5/2023 Domestic Long Hair Black - Meet Suki! This gorgeous little black ball of fluff came to us from South Carolina, where she had fallen from under a car. She is sweet and loves everyone.  She has a serious case of "elevator butt" when you scratch her back!  She purrs non stop and loves to play with her toys, a favorite is a cat tunnel.  She will entertain herself for house and even plays fetch with small toys.  Suki is great with other friendly kitties but does not like dogs.  Suki can be high energy, but also loves to cuddle, she will expect to sleep with you.  Respectful children would be ok.  Please apply for Suki at www.furrr.org she can't wait to be home for the holidays!  All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY.   Whitney - Female DOB 3/22/2023 Domestic Long Hair Tortoiseshell - Meet Whitney! Or should we say meet Miss Whitney the Diva?!  Yes, she knows she is gorgeous.  She also has plenty of tortitude and knows what she wants.  What she wants is a home of her own, where she can be spoiled like a princess.  She has decided that she doesn't like any of the other kitties in the rescue and is going to swat any of them that dare to get to close to her.  Now people? That's totally ok!  She isn't shy, she loves the attention from our volunteers, she just doesn't want any competition from other kitties.  She does like to give little love bites so no small children would be best. Whitney would likely do well in an average home, respectful older children and no other pets.  This little beauty won't last long so apply at www.furrr.orgAll kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian. Story
Meet Alvin, a charming 7 year old long haired brown tabby who will be pleased to meet you. He came to HART when his guardians could no longer care for him. He is doing well with the cats in his room although he is selective about which of his roommates he prefers. With a slow and gradual introduction he could live with other cats. He is also selective about which dogs he likes. Alvin had bladder stones in the past. He requires a wet-only diet to maintain his urinary health. We strongly recommend he eat prescription urinary wet food and will send him home with a sample. Alvin recently had a flare-up of chin acne that is healing nicely. Our medical team has him on some medications to help him with health problems. His future family should be committed to providing him with the necessary dietary care and ensuring he receives regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his condition and ensure his health long-term. Alvin may have a few extra needs, but this loving boy will be worth it, and will reward you with a lifetime of love and cuddles.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As

Story
Jack is a very handsome and charming 14-1/2-year-old boy who has quickly become a volunteer favorite. He was surrendered to HART since his previous owner could not offer the care he needed. Jack started out at HART very confused and defensive. After being here after about a week or two, he really started to trust the new people in his life. He has an independent and courageous spirit that will surely win you over. He enjoys being petted, brushed and held and will start purring almost immediately. He loves being spoiled the most.Or medical team found that he has some joint issues in his legs and he is on a medication now to help him with any pain he might be experiencing. To help him continue and monitor this treatment and care we require that his new home have an established vet before adopting him. He's also eating a diet to help him with kidney care. Before adopting him, you'll meet with a member of our Shy Angels program to discuss his needs and your needs for a successful adoption. We think you'll fall in love with this wonderful kitty like we have. Please come meet him in Room 5 at the shelter.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
