Story
Graylene is approximately 2 years old and an absolute love. She will do best in a quieter home without young kids as she is still a bit shy. She is great with other cats and tolerates our old husky. She would prefer to live with someone who is willing to spoil her rotten like the princess that she is Graylene is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and treated for fleas/ticks/worms. She is available to an indoor only home with no declawing. If interested in giving this sweet girl a forever home please email Friends of Feral Felines, Maine foster coordinator, Cindy, at cmm283@yahoo.com.

Story
Meet Ami and Mischief - Mischief is all kitten! Plays hard, loves hard and crashes hard! He loves to be with you & will follow you around asking to be picked up and held! He is the perfect combination of playfulness and snuggles. And he is polydactyl!! The cutest toes!! Ami is very shy. He loves to play and be around you but prefers his paws on the ground and he’ll decide when he wants to spend time with you! They play up a storm together, racing up and down the hall & stairs & when it’s time to nap they love to curl up with our adult cats. They are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together For more info contact Cindy at cmm283@yahoo.com.

Story
Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly broken leg that required surgery and a pin in his leg.  The senior couple could not afford the surgery and they were going to euthanize this handsome boy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue paid the $1,000 bill to fix his leg and save his life.  He was worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has been healing so nicely and getting friendlier and snuggly the past 3 weeks since we picked him up from the vet’s office after surgery.  He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please!  He has started walking on all four legs now, but he still travels with a slight limp in his giddy-up.  Thankfully all the nerves in his paw seem to be intact and we marvel at what a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt her; he hasn’t even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   April 16, 2024, 8:14 am

Story
Alvin is a charming, long-haired, brown tabby who will be pleased to meet you! He is 7 years old and came to HART in the Spring of 2023 when his guardians unfortunately could no longer provide care for him. Although he is selective about which other cats he is willing to hang out with, he is doing well living with his feline roommates at the shelter. With a slow and gradual introduction, we believe he could live in a home with other friendly cats and even a laid-back, cat-savvy dog.Alvin has a history of bladder stones and previously had surgery to remove them. In order to maintain his urinary health, he requires a wet-only diet, and we strongly recommend that he eat prescription urinary health formula wet food (We will send him home with a sample.). Alvin recently had a flare-up of chin acne that has healed up nicely. Since he can be nervous and reactive in stressful situations, our Medical Team has placed Alvin on medication to help him cope with the stress of living in a shelter environment. He would do best in a calm, low-key household without young children. His adoptive family will need to be committed to providing him with the necessary dietary care and regular veterinary check-ups to monitor his condition in order to ensure his health long-term. We will require that his adopter has an established relationship with a veterinarian. Our Adoption Team will review Alvin's specific needs with you prior to his adoption.Alvin may require a little extra care, but this loving boy is so worth it, and he will reward you with a lifetime of love and cuddles. Submit an application and come in to meet Alvin in Room 4.Go to our website, www.hartofme.org, to submit your online application today!***FKA = Formerly Known As
