Story
Darla - Female DOB 5/4/2025 Domestic Long Hair - Tortoiseshell Tumble and Darla have been side by side since foster care, and it’s clear how much comfort they find in each other. We often see them moving through the room together or adorably settling into the same quiet spot, so they’ll need to go home as a pair. Tumble is the buff-colored girl who had a rough start early on. She’s fully healed now, but she’s still a sensitive soul and takes a little time to feel comfortable in new spaces. She’s very sweet and does enjoy being petted… she just needs slow movements and patience while she settles in. When Darla is nearby, you can almost see Tumble relax a little more. Darla is shy at first too, but once she’s comfortable, she’s all affection. She has long, silky fur and a gentle way about her. She will find comfort in laying in your lap if you sit on the floor or near her.  She loves wand toys, darting through tunnels, and then curling up close when playtime is over. One of our favorite things is finding her curled into a little ball next to her person during quiet TV time, completely content. These two would do well in a calm home as your only kitties where Darla will sometimes show her "tortitude" if other cats are in her space. No dogs or young children.  Older, respectful children who understand when to give them space may be okay. Please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/All kitten(s) and cat(s) at FuRRR Feline Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations for their age, combo tested for FIV/FeLV, microchipped and have a Health Certificate from a licensed NH veterinarian.  Our application is available to be completed online at  https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/  Applying DOES NOT guarantee approval.  We hold meet and greets with approved applications only.  (Kittens are available for adoption in pairs only unless they are going home to another kitten or young cat under 3) Our policy is strictly NO DECLAWING and INDOOR ONLY. Story
FRANNiE is a gorgeous long haired tortoiseshell (maybe mixed with some Siberian) beauty!  FRANNIE is is just over 2 years old and will follow her person around like a puppy.  This girl wants to constantly be wherever her people are.  She is very curious and loves watching the birds and wildlife from her window perch.   FRANNIE has the sweetest little "chirp" that melts your heart.  Not a big girl...roughly 9-10 lbs.  Her beautiful long coat does need occasional brushing which she welcomes.   Excellent with children and has been unphased in the presence of a cat friendly dog. Frannie will bond very quickly with her family. ##1758122##

Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Jewelz, a pretty long haired grey sweetheart. She was found living outside with her kittens. She was being taken care of by a Good Samaritan who fed them daily and made little shelters for them. She finally ended up reaching out to us for help. She is loving living indoors and is just the sweetest girl. She is so loving and affectionate and just enjoys the simple pleasure in life such as a full bowl of food, a warm bed, and pats from her person. She is about 8 months old but is very mellow and relaxed. She is not a high energy kitten at all. She does love to army crawl on the carpet and roll around on a blanket or carpet - it’s the simple things for Jewelz. She would do well either alone or with a cat-savvy dog or respectful kids. Jewelz did test positive for FIV so she would need to be the only cat in the home or live with another FIV positive cat. Does Jewelz seem like a perfect addition to your home? Apply for her today!  All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. January 23, 2026, 2:34 pm
