Story
Oh, Mickey, you’re so fine. You’re so fine you blow my mind. Hey, Mickey!” (“Hey Mickey” by Bring It On) Yes, I’m Mickey, and I was fine once upon a time. When I was a young adult back in 2017, I came to Paws and Claws after I was found in Grandview Cemetery in SE Rochester. My name was Henry. I was adopted and returned due to landlord issues, then adopted again. I’ve been Mickey ever since. Now, I’m back at Paws and Claws again because I’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, and my family could not afford insulin. When I was returned to the shelter, I was not so fine. My fur was full of mats, and I had lost a lot of weight. So I went to a wonderful foster home, where I received lots of TLC. My matted coat was shaved, and I became much more comfortable. My diabetes is now under control, and I am gaining weight. I will need to continue on insulin and have my glucose levels monitored by a vet. My mom said this about me: I am a good cat who listens! If I am told, “No” I answer with a little “Meow,” and I am a good boy. Because I am diabetic, I drink lots of water. I love ice in my water. I am strictly an indoor cat. If I ever do go outdoors, I will walk on the grass in the yard with you and never wander off. I was very, very loved by my family, and they were heartbroken to have to give me up. They asked that you take good care of me. Scratch me under my chin and behind my ears. They sent my favorite toy with me, my yellow mouse. Please don’t lose it! Please, someone, I want to be in a loving forever home. I want someone to say, “Hey, Mickey! You’re mine!” Adoption fee $50 + microchip fee $30 + tax

Story
Izzy is a fun-loving, playful girl who especially loves her toys—mornings are her favorite time to show off her energetic side! After playtime, she enjoys relaxing and will happily sit by you when things are quiet. When Izzy is happy, she’ll roll around on her back in pure contentment. She does great with older kids (like her current 12- and 14-year-old friends) but can be shy and hide when younger kids visit. Izzy tolerates other cats, though she can be a little mischievous in the mornings, and she’s mostly indifferent to dogs. If you’re looking for a playful yet affectionate companion, Izzy could be the perfect match!

Story
Meet Oliver Oliver is an independent gentleman who loves having the best of both worlds—cozy indoor comforts and daily outdoor adventures. Friendly, gentle, and easygoing, he’s the kind of cat who greets you warmly but also enjoys exploring on his own terms. This handsome guy has a sensitive stomach, so he does best with the right food and a little care in that department. One of his favorite quirks? He adores fresh water—especially when he can sneak a sip straight from the watering can in the garage! If you’re looking for a sweet, outdoorsy companion with a calm spirit and a few charming habits, Oliver might just be your perfect match.
