Dexter can be such a loving lap cat for much of the day. He still gets pretty intense 'zoomies' throughout the day - he loves to run, jump on the cat tree/vertical spaces, and play with toys. Dexter does get into moods where he does not want to be pet or picked up, but he gives pretty good body language signals in those situations. Most of the time he does not mind being held. He is pretty routine oriented and will start asking for his wet food in the evening. He has previously lived with a dog and cat that he got along great with; he is a little overwhelmed by our mastiff but has been consistently warming up (and the dog is learning to socialize better). Dexter spent his first ~2 years living with college students. He did well when we would have guests over - often in the middle of a circle of 10-20 people - and did well when guests would bring their dogs over with them. We moved pretty much every year and Dexter adapted well to a variety of situations; he did not do as well with the move to MN after living with his dog and cat best friends for a year. Dexter tends to get most upset if someone is ignoring him and would probably do better in a home with someone that has a lot of time to cuddle and play with him. Horus, named after the Egyptian God, is a beautiful cat. He is very shy but has been coming out more often, especially during feeding times. At feeding times, I can pat him and scratch his head. I came into rescue looking like a hairless possum. I was very skinny and right away my foster mom knew I had a bladder issue due to me being in the box non stop. Thru all of the bad things that have happened to me I remain very attention seeking and super loving! The vet has me on prescription food right now but I may not always need to be on it. The funny this is I know that I am not supposed to eat the other cat food that my friends eat so I do not I eat in the kennel at meal time. It is quite amazing that this girl knows this. She is really not a huge fan of the other cats but does live with them some are less friends of hers and some are great friends of hers. So she may be selective of who she likes and does not like. She does however really like her foster dog sister and this is a really big dog. Go figure maybe before rescue she lived with a dog and no other cats. Hard to say but what I do know is that she deserves all the love and attention she wants.

Holly is a very sweet and shy kitty. She loves to be patted and get attention but is leery of new people. Holly is not sure of other cats. She was adopted as a kitten, but the family was just not up to keeping care of a long-haired cat. Holly needs a quiet and patient family to help her come out of her shell. Hello, my name is Gus. I am about 2 1/2 years old. I was found quite thin, but am started to get back to normal now that I have been in my foster home. I was roaming in my foster parents' neighborhood with another friend named Aurora. It is unknown how long we have been together, but we were found keeping each other warm during the chilly months and have been inseparable since. If it is possible, I would love to find a forever home with her included. I have always been friendly to my foster family and the young children in the house. I also love cuddles. My foster family has an adult/senior dog, and we seem to get along well.
