Story
Meet Labubu! Labubu is a stunning grey long-haired boy about a year old, and he is truly a big love. This sweet guy adores people and is happiest soaking up attention, pets, and companionship. We don’t have a known history of Labubu with other cats or dogs, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, he could do well in a home with other pets. Labubu will be foster-to-adopt for a short period while we address an unfortunate broken tooth, and our team will support you through that process. Once that’s behind him, he’ll be ready to settle into his home and continue being the affectionate, loving companion he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a gentle, people-loving cat with a big heart (and a lot of fluff), Labubu might be your perfect match

Story
“Come hither, mere human. You know you can’t resist the urge to stroke these luxurious locks. The struggle is real!”  Smitten is a low-key, reserved, young feline, certain to fit nicely on laps big and small. Her stunning good looks and velveteen fur will captivate you, and her gentle demeanor will quickly seal the deal. Give her a moment or two, and she will cast off her shy demeanor and win your heart forevermore.  Due to her shyness, she would do best in a quiet home without too much activity.  But she also responded very positively to the cat-savvy, 6-year-old granddaughter who got to visit with her in her foster home. Smitten was found outside looking for food but after a few weeks of feeding her, she was friendly and able to be picked up and placed into a carrier.  We suspect she may have been dumped.  She was not spayed or microchipped.  Due to her shyness, she doesn't eat well the first few days in a new place and starting her out in a small space like a bathroom is advised until she gets to know you.  She does seem to prefer Fancy Feast Seafood Feast pate, but there have been other foods she appreciated as well.  Meet Nanette by completing our online adoption application.  You can also stop in to see her at The Thrift Hound, 234 Leicester Hwy, daily during business hours but in order to take her out of the cage to interact, you need a pre-approved application on file.  All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.  All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. December 22, 2025, 12:31 am

Story
We took Clementine(short hair)& Citrus(long hair) in May of 2022. They've been here nearly 3 years in the rescue. Clementine& Citrus (sisters)when they were pregnant and right at a year old. They're now around 4 years old and still looking for a forever home, ideally together. But here's the catch. The girls are semi feral. They're hands off cats. And while they do great inside and are very used to dogs, cats and humans being near them, they're not fans of being touched, and will avoid you. We need a special home for them that loves cats and will just allow them to do their own thing and enjoy their own space. We will not adopt them out to be outside cats or barn cats as they deserve safe indoor homes where they're protected and the native species around them are safe as well. Both girls are spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and fiv/felv tested negative We will consider individual homes, ONLY if you have other cat friendly kitties already ❤️ both girls are litterbox trained. Located in Cosby Tennessee
