Story
Dont let those sharp green eyes fool you. Grizzabell (aka Grizzy Girl) is plain sweet. Despite her tiny size, she is mighty in her ability to adapt and to love. Grizzys last few months have been rough fighting to survive for months in an all-male stray community, captured to live the cage life in August, babies stolen (surrendered 9/15/25) and yet shes responded with nothing but calm, grateful affection, and not a single sign of missing the outdoor life. Grizzy quietly chirps rather than meows. She leans in to nuzzle when you put your face in hers and rolls over for belly rubs once youve earned her trust. Shes had to prioritize survival so doesnt seem interested in toys or strings, but like an old friend shell make time to chill and purr with you. She loves the smell of the outdoors and the sun on her fur. Screened windows and doors with a safe hammock or perch would likely make her happy. Won't you adopt Grizzabell and give her the pampered life she deserves?Note from Paws humans: To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt.

Story
Hello, I'm Beauty. I have a heart full of love and a spirit eager to play. My days are filled with chasing toys, and my nights are spent purring in contentment. People are my favorite; I just can't get enough of their company. Their gentle strokes and sweet whispers make my day. However, I must confess, I'm not a fan of other felines. I prefer to be the queen of my own castle. I dream of a home where I can be the center of attention, sharing my sweetness and playfulness with a loving family. Adopt me, and let's create a lifetime of beautiful memories together.Note from Paws humans: Beauty was abandoned at an apartment complex in Urbana and was brought to Paws Animal Shelter to find a forever home. Story
Hello, I'm Jackson. I'm a bit timid, but don't let that fool you. I'm as sweet as they come. I got my shyness from my mom, she was a wild one. But don't worry, I'm not like her. I'm learning to trust, to love. Every day, I'm growing braver, more confident. I'm discovering the joy of soft pats. I've also really gotten into playing, especially with those fishing pole toys. I'm a gentle soul, eager to find a place where I can feel safe and loved. Adopting me won't just change my life, it'll add a bundle of joy to yours. Let's make beautiful memories together.Note from Paws humans: Jackson came to us with his brother, Shaggy (who has been adopted). Their mom was feral, and has now been trapped and spayed, so no more kittens for her. The family taking care of mom brought her two gorgeous kittens to Paws Animal Shelter so they could be adopted. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi! I'm Dot, the kitten with a tale of mischief. My brother Bingo and I were playing a game of 'chase the yarn' that got hilariously out of paw. We ended up tumbling into a picnic, scattering sandwiches and laughter everywhere! Sadly, Bingo found a home first, leaving me to work on my solo comedy routine. I'm a bundle of energy, always ready to bring smiles with my playful antics. Looking for a cheerful companion who can turn any day into a playful adventure? Adopt me, and let's start our story of fun and laughter together!Note from Paws human: A lady in Urbana called because a pregnant cat was dumped at her property. She took care of the kittens and turned two of them over to Colony Cats. She has five cats of her own and is 80 years old, so she wasn't in a position to provide a forever home for these two kittens..
