Story
Hello, I’m SJ. Life here with my brothers is safe, but we dream of a quiet home. We’re a bit shy, clinging to each other for comfort in this new world. Gentle touches and soft voices help us feel secure. I spend my days observing, quietly hoping for a friend who understands the time it takes to trust. Adopting me means gaining a loyal companion who thrives on patience and love. Will you be my forever friend?Note from Paws humans: SJ and his two brothers lived with a man for two years until he had to move into a special home where he could be cared for, and they did not allow pets. It was a major shock to these poor brothers to suddenly find themselves in an animal shelter, no matter how nice. During quarantine we tried to let them run lose in our Isolation Room, but they just crawled under the cages and hid. Once they finished quarantine we decided to move them to the Zen Meow room, as they clearly need a calm, quiet environment. They all will let you pet them, but it will take time for them to really trust people. SJ has made the most progress of the three.  He now comes out to greet me, climbs on my lap, and loves for me to pet him.  He might need a little more time to warm up to stranger, but he's clearly sweet at his core!  To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt.

Story
The Sisters Shia and Sheepy are a bonded pair and would do better socially to be adopted as the family they are. Came to us in a larger litter of abandoned kittens that had been outside in January. They are definitely shy and prefer to sit just out of reach of their foster. One sudden movement and POOF! off they go! Their forever human(s) will need patience and adoration from afar. While we do feel they will eventually warm up to a human or two, it will take them quite a bit to get there. Are you the special, perfect for them human?!

Story
💔 Lost Everything Through No Fault of Their Own: Meet Daisy & Mickey 🐾Imagine spending your whole life safe, loved, and cherished—and then, in the blink of an eye, your entire world vanishes. That is the heartbreaking reality for 3 year old Daisy and Mickey. Their beloved owner passed away, and his wife had to enter assisted living. These sweet souls didn't do anything wrong, yet they lost their humans, their home, and their security all at once. They are confused, lonely, and desperately mourning the life they used to know. Daisy (Grey, Long-Haired) is a big, beautiful girl with lots of gorgeous fur and a habit of letting out the cutest yawns! While her heart is fragile and she is still learning to trust, she is curious. She loved to play with her favorite string toy—she never gets tired of playing! She just needs a patient adopter who respects her boundaries as she heals. Mickey is a strikingly handsome boy with a dark grey and white coat, topped off with the most adorable pink nose. He is incredibly soft and very gentle. Though he is a bit shy at first, he warms up quickly. Mickey absolutely thrives on attention, loves being brushed, and can't get enough pets or treats! Their Dream Home: A quiet, calm household with one or two patient, kind people. Lots of string toy playtime and brushing sessions. They are siblings and have always been together ideally they would like to go to their forever home together. They don’t understand why their safe home disappeared, but they have so much love to give. They would make the ultimate companions for someone looking for a truly special, loyal buddies. Please share their story. Let's help Daisy and Mickey find the happily ever after they so deeply deserve. 🥺👇 They are available foster to adopt. Please fill out your application at https://www.lifelinecats.org/adoption and we can arrange a meet and greet. #lifelinecatrescue #takemehome #catlovers The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, FIV/FeLV combo test, dewormer, flea treatment, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
