Bear is a bit of an aloof kitten.  He can be cranky until he feels safe and he trust you.  Once he does trust is is quite a purr ball! He has been around other cats but not out with them.  He will need a quiet home preferably without small children.October 24, 2024, 12:50 pm

Story
I am a gorgeous long-haired sweetie who would love a new home with a patient, experienced cat owner because I am SUPER SHY, especially at first. Once I know you and I feel safe, I am a devoted lap cat and have a silly habit of playing fetch! I came to PAWS as a very shy small kitten and my first foster mom fell in love with me and adopted me. When my home situation changed I came back to PAWS-OK and now I am looking for a great new home. Fair warning - I will attempt to hide under beds, dressers etc at first, when presented with new people and places but I will adjust with a steady "nudge" in the right direction. I have lived with small kids and a rowdy dog (in my first home), and hold my own with the cats and the well trained dogs (one is over 100 pounds) in my foster home. PAWS-OK is committed to finding me a new home with a patient, kind person who will fall in love with my awesome personality! PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   June 9, 2025, 9:09 pm

Story
This is Orange Roll! Hes a very sweet and affectionate kitty. He loves every person he meets and always loves to cuddle! He has spent time around kids, other cats, and dogs, and he does great! I came into Orange Rolls care when an old roommate called me and told me I needed to come “say my goodbyes” as he hadn’t eaten or drank in 3 days. So that night I picked him up and took him to the vet and he has been in my care since. That night we found out that he does have chronic kidney disease unfortunately, but his supportive care is easy with his prescription diet and keeping him hydrated. :) He has improved greatly the last month I’ve had him but he deserves someone that can spend more time with him than I can. Please feel free to contact me with any questions! He already has a litter box, water fountain, a bed, and his adopter can have all of it along with a supply of his food! He is enrolled through Happy Hounds Animal Rescue who provided his shots and a microchip, their fee is 125$

Story
Bear's mom came to us already pregnant as a stray a little over five years ago. We caught her, helped her raise her young, and fixed her. She had a home set up, but the adoption fell through months later. We decided to keep her and add her to the family, however she hasn't ever gotten comfortable with our other cats or our crazy lifestyle. She prefers a calmer household with no other cats although she does love our dog and has had no issue with calmer children. She's a very healthy and loving cat, but is constantly causing other cats in the household to be unhappy and stressed and we would love nothing more than to give her a home that let's her be the lovable cuddlebug we know she is.
