Story
Pollo is a very friendly Pomeranian he Love’s attention and to be pet. I believe he is 1 yr old or a little under. He understands English and Spanish. We fostered him due to a family not willing to care for him anymore i don’t have much info on his background but he was really matted when we took him in. We bathed him múltiple times and groomed him which he was very cooperative with. He just wants love and attention and I want to give him that opportunity. I can not care for him since i have 3 of my own pets and working and going to school full time.

Story
Hello, my name is Milo! Please don’t be fooled by my angry face, because I promise I am a sweet angel! My favorite thing to do is follow you everywhere around the house and sleep! If I’m not following or watching you, I am sleeping. I do sleep very deep so I may not hear you come home at first.I am very sweet, I can be talkative, and I just want to always be near you. I do enjoy a good scratch post that I can reach up and stretch on as well. I have not scratched on any furniture in the house or the carpet. I am pretty responsible when it comes to my nails. I have low energy. I am not necessarily lazy, but I would prefer more to lay down than run and play. I will get excited sometimes and have a burst of energy, but I’m still learning how to play. I am not a big fan of being held or cuddled. I would rather lay next to you. I do act as though I want to cuddle, I just don’t know how to initiate it. With patience, I may be able to open up and become a cuddler. I am wonderful with other cats, dogs, and children.I`m looking for a patient adopter who understands cat behavior and is willing to help me continue working on his litter box habits. I`m still figuring out where I prefer to go when it comes to pooping. I`ve tried different litter box setups and litters, but hasn’t found my perfect match yet.I came to the Humane Society severely matted - which is why I have a funny haircut! Normally I am a long haired cat. If you give me time (it won’t take much time), you will fall in love with me!

Story
Hi, my name is PeeWee because I was the smallest survivor of a litter of 5 born in a PAWS-OK foster home.  My mom was a Siberian and when she got out of her owners home for a few nights and got pregnant. They didn't want the "mixed" kittens(?).  Their loss because I am a gorgeous "mini Maine CoonX cat.  I don't like a lot of change (see my stink eye ^^^) am shy of new people, and don't like to be held and cuddled but I'm not agressive.  I'd like a quiet home where I can relax, get groomed (my hair is a chore for me) and learn to accept people touching me more. PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   July 12, 2026, 12:15 am

Story
Cowboy is my name and being beautiful is my game! My 2 brothers and I were born into a colony in a NW OKC neighborhood that a nice lady was feeding.  Unfortunately she wasn't spaying or neutering and the colony was getting out of control. She came to a PAWS-OK fundraiser and told her story or our director who agreed to take the youngest at that time (us 3) if she would work on S/N for the rest.  I am a beautiful boy with a loud purr but shy about approaching new people.

Story
Meet Gizmo!  He is a 3 year old black Maine Coon Mix looking for a new home through PAWS-OK.  He has lived with another cat and small dogs in his previous home.  His owner passed away last fall and her husband relinquished her cats for us to find great new homes for.  Gizmo DOES REQUIRE GROOMING MAINTENANCE ( and doesn't care for it a bit!) so anyone looking to adopt him should have some experience with keeping a long hair cat coat in good condition.
