Story
This is Belle and she is around 6 years old. We are needing to re-home her because my elderly father is no longer able to care for her. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and can use the litter box. She is independent as cats are. She is prone to hair balls. My dad is her favorite and she has not really taken to anyone else. She loves sitting in his lap and napping. She generally runs off if strangers or children are around.

Story
I am a gorgeous long-haired sweetie who would love a new home with a patient, experienced cat owner because I can be shy at first.  Once I know you and I feel safe, I am a devoted lap cat.  I came to PAWS as a very shy small kitten and my first foster mom fell in love with me and adopted me.  When my home situation changed I came back to PAWS-OK and now I am looking for a great new home. Fair warning - I will attempt to hide under beds, dressers etc when presented with new people and places.  I have lived with small kids and rowdy dogs (maybe why I am used to hiding?).  It's no fun for me to hide all the time!  PAWS-OK is committed to finding me a QUIET home with a patient, kind person attached to a warm lap! PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.   If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form.  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.   March 27, 2025, 5:42 pm

Story
Meet Mittens, a sweet and affectionate Domestic Longhair Calico looking for a new home. Due to unforeseen circumstances (a sudden divorce and move), we are sadly seeking a loving new family for her. Mittens is calm, loving, and great with other animals and kids. She’s declawed, so she’s gentle with her paws and enjoys cuddles and being near her people. She’s also well-trained in the litter box and dog door, making her an easy-going companion. Mittens would thrive in a calm home that can provide her with the love and attention she deserves. She’s looking for a place where she can feel safe and cherished, just as she has in our home. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance, and affectionate kitty, Mittens would be the perfect fit! Please reach out if you think you could offer her the loving home she deserves.

Story
Meet Batgirl – Mysterious, Elegant, and Totally Her Own Hero Batgirl is a striking black-and-white tuxedo cat with a sleek mask and a fierce sense of independence. She’s not your average snuggle bug—in fact, she’d prefer if you admired her from a respectful distance (at least at first). Affection is on her terms, and trust is something she grants only to the truly worthy. Unfortunately I am forced to rehome her, as I am traveling extensively and am gone a lot. About Batgirl: • Age: 4 1/2 • Personality: Aloof, confident, and quietly observant • Claws: Yes, and she knows how to use them—scratching posts (or stylish cat trees) are a must • Not a lap cat – but she’ll share space with you when she’s in the mood • Ideal home: Calm, quiet, and free of small kids or clingy pets. She's a solo vigilante, not part of a superhero team. Batgirl is perfect for someone who appreciates the beauty of a cat with boundaries. She’ll patrol your home like it’s Gotham, keep watch from her perch, and may
