Aptly named, regal Duke is a handsome house panther. Although still shy with humans, he has made a tremendous amount of progress in foster care. Introductions work best when he is allowed to initiate contact in an open space. He can warm up quickly and show you just how sweet and affectionate he can be. Duke enjoys being petted and receiving back scratches. He also loves to be brushed! Duke dislikes being picked up, but enjoys being loved on while his human is sitting on the couch, and will even lay across your lap. He gives forceful cheek rubs and head bumps to show his affection. His favorite activity, however, is chasing treats tossed or hidden around the house. He even recognizes the word, "Treats!" Duke is very vocal, and very good at communicating his desires. Duke likes to be around, wrestle and play with other cats. He would make a great kitty brother. A stunning young calico who recently finished raising her three kittens, Maisie was a devoted, protective mama, & now she’s ready to find a forever family of her own! At first, she was cautious, but over time she’s blossomed into a gentle, affectionate cat who’s learned just how wonderful it feels to trust people. Her curious & talkative personality shines more each day! Maisie loves being near her humans & has a sweet habit of pulling your hand toward her with her paws when she wants more pets. Occasionally, she may give a playful nip, though never out of aggression. She’s still learning the finer points of human affection. Maisie purrs while eating, playing, & sometimes even while she sleeps. She enjoys birdwatching from the window, chasing toys, & simply being with her people. Maisie gets along well with both children & other cats, though she prefers not to share space with dominant male cats. She’d do best as an only cat or with gentle female companions. Teagan was rescued from a terrible situation where she survived a dog attack along with siblings Emory and Natasha. Given this, she is needing to learn she can trust. She has learned that she loves to be brushed, pet and have her ears scratched, but she is still very timid when being picked up from the floor. Her foster human is working with her and believes that with some time to adjust, she will continue to become an amazing companion. She is good with other cats and dogs. Raven is a gorgeous sleek little mini panther. She has become a real lap cat and loves to sleep with her foster mom and dad. She is not a fan of being picked up and carried but that's not a big deal. She is comfortable with her foster doggy brothers. She will need a little time to warm up to new people and new situations. Don't be put off by his curmudgeonly name! As one of the Dwarves kittens, Grumpy drew the short straw when named. He is actually a sweet boy who's a little on the shy/cautious side. He prefers to let his brother, Bashful, or sister, Doc, take the lead and give the "okay" signal before proceeding. Given just a moment to warm up, he enjoys human company and attention. He likes to purr and cuddle up next to his human before taking a cat nap. Grumpy is actually a playful and active boy. Just watch him run after toys and chase his siblings around! Soot Sprite is amazing!! He knows no strangers. Every person that comes into the house he sees as an instant friend and showers them with affection. He gets along great with both adult cats and other kittens. He is an equal opportunity snuggle bug... snuggling with people and cats alike. He has the best nibble kisses. He is always "volume up" with his purring. His eyes are beautiful and his fur is stunning. Right now it’s a fever coat, shades of gray mixed with the black. He may not keep it as he grows but it sure it beautiful. He loves when his foster mom's grandchildren come to visit and other family and friends come over. He sleeps with her at night right next to her tummy. He loves to follow her around, keeping her company. Some of his hobbies include playing in boxes, chasing the red dot, playing with the wand, pouncing on tennis shoes, walking around with toys in his mouth, playing tag and chase with the other cats. Whoever adopts Soot Sprite is going to be very lucky and get an amazing friend. His foster mom says "He makes me smile and laugh." He is fostered with Pumpkin and Chip. Olive is such a sweet little girl! She is about two years old and has been a wonderful surrogate mother to the 4 kittens we had. No more babies for her, though! It is time for her to live her best life! She loves affection and doesn't mind being picked up. She honestly deserves the world. She is a bit spicy with the other cats, but I don’t blame her! Who knows how long she had been a mama. She would probably be best as an only cat and in a home with no kids or older kids, as she does give love bites and will let you know when she’s overstimulated.
