Story
Introducing Brittany! She takes a while to warm up to strangers; however, once she trusts you, she'll want treats and to be petted as much as possible. During the day, she likes to sleep and will start to get active and hungry in the afternoon. Then, once the sun has set, she becomes very playful and purrs to the touch. Brittany has a great personality, and just needs someone who can be patient with her. She sleeps in her covered cat bed and other places that provide some shelter, helping her feel safe.

Story
I’m Chase! It’s a great name for me because I love chase games. A name like Love, or Purr, or even Cuddles would have been just as accurate. But seriously, I’d die of embarrassment if a gorgeous fellow like myself had such a name. Is Wrestler a name? I love to wrestle with my brother, Marshall, but it is all in fun. We are actually very good friends. We chase, run, fight, pounce and then curl up together to sleep. And my FAVORITE place to sleep? It is on my human’s lap, of course! Although I always take the time to give my human lots of love and attention before I crash. In fact, I’ll do all I can to help out, especially with the typing. Marshall and I are the gentlest, most affectionate pair of kittens. We had a rough start to life, but now we are perfect! Must be adopted with Marshall.

Story
Hi! I’m Marshall and I am the cuddliest, gentlest, and smartest kitten! I LOVE to play with my brother, Chase, and with the other cats in my foster home. Outgoing and brave, I’m not even scared of the foster dog! I’ve been at my foster home for much longer than expected because I had a bit of a tough start to life, but now, I’m all ready to move on to the next exciting part of my life. That reminds me, I love exploring… especially when that exploring leads to people! I love people! And mostly, I love my people. Sit down, and I’ll sit with you, on you preferably! And then my motor will start. I’m a first-class purring machine. If possible, both my brother, Chase, and I will curl up together on your lap and love you. Must be adopted with Chase.

Story
Capone is an awesome cat! He is playful, loves to be loved, loves to love, is cuddly, soft as a bunny, and devilishly mischievous. This boy has incredible ongoing energy that emerges morning and evening, napping in the 6 hours in between! Capone loves to play on his own. Small round balls that he can bat around on the floor are perfect. As a duo game, he loves a long string of hairbands joined and slingshot across a room. He faithfully plays fetch and brings the hairbands back. He can run up 12 steps a dozen times to fetch! Capone is a great eater. Seafood, especially salmon, is his favourite. He is obedient, as far as cats go, quiet, and so much fun. He needs a lot of attention and will remind you often by pawing you as you walk by. His best fit would be a quiet home with someone often around and attentive to his needs. They will be rewarded back as he is a great buddy.

Story
Meet Pekoe! How could you not fall in love with this big puff ball!?Pekoe is one hot cuppa tea! She's a big personality and we can't wait to see who fall in love with this diva. She came to us when her previous guardian had to go overseas, and she's now thriving in a foster home. Would you like to meet Pekoe or learn more about her, call us at 604-922-4622 to learn more! Pekoe is her own lady, and she's not afraid to show her personality! This girl will tell you when she loves things, but she will also tell you about what she doesn't like. Pekoe likes touch and cuddles on her own terms, and for this reason she's looking for an adult only forever home. In her foster home, Pekoe is opening up more and more daily. Her foster-mom can brush her and pick her up briefly, but Pekoe isn't going to be the kind of cat who wants to be pet and held all day. She has even started climbing under the covers at night with her foster mom! You can often spot her fluffy toes sticking out from her cozy bed, and she'll spring out to say hi when you enter the room! She loves baby talk and will melt with compliments about how beautiful and perfect she is. Although she's not a big fan of being picked up, Pekoe will happily follow you around, trailing behind like a sweet little companion and purring when she's in the mood for pets. With her gorgeous coat, Pekoe has also gotten a lot more tolerant of brushing. She's on a low-fat diet to keep her healthy and happy.Pekoe is looking for a loving home where she can continue to shine as the sweet, quirky cat she is. Could it be with you?If yes, apply online today!!

Story
Johnny is looking for a patient, understanding and experienced cat owner who can provide him with the care and support he needs to settle in to a new home and here are a few suggestions to help Johnny transition and let his true personality shine1. Quiet and safe space: set up a designated area in your home where Johnny can feel secure and have some privacy.2. Slow introduction: allow Johnny to acclimate at his own pace. Give him time to explore his new surroundings gradually. Avoid overwhelming him with too many new experiences or interactions all at once.3. Patient and understanding: Johnny may initially be hesitant or fearful. Be patient and allow him to approach you on his owns terms. Avoid forcing interactions and give him space when needed.4. Establish a routine: Cats thrive on routine, and having a consistent schedule can help him feel more secure and settled.5. Interactive playtime. Use toys that stimulate his natural instincts. This will help build his confidence and create positive associations with you and his new environment. 6. Positive reinforcement: Use treats, praise and gentle strokes to reward Johnny for positive behaviour and interactions. This will help him to associate positive experiences with you and build trust over time.Johnny was used to living with a single adult, no children or any other pets for this boy. He spent 9 months of his life being bullied by other cats in his previous home. No outdoor access, he's lived indoors only. Johnny has been making very positive progress and has been coming around great as staff and volunteers continue working with him. He is slowly showing his true colours of being loving and gentle. We know the right home that will continue to make progress with him is out there for him, could that be you? 1.
